EvE Tripple Monitor Question

So I have this *UBER* triple monitor gaming rig... I tried playing one client in a gazillion x gazillion pixels and it's AWESOME. But it sux for alt-tabbing so I rather keep the main character in the middle, the alt on the left and forawhora on the right.

For now what I'm doing is:

1) Click on the launcher, let game start on one monitor.
2) Click on launcher again, 2nd game starts on same monitor.
3) Change one client to a different monitor
4) Login and play

Is there a way to set up 2 different shortcuts so that one always starts a client on the left, and another always start a client in the middle?

if you find a way to do this, tell me =)

Im running multiple monitors too, my main in the middle has 2560x1440 and the other two 1920x1200, so I would love to have separate shortcuts to them.

I think I found a work around... not exactly what I wanted but:

I made a copy of the entire eve folder "c:\program files (x86)\CCP\EVE" into "c:\program file (x86)\CCP\EVE Alt". Be careful with the launcher shortcut on the copy as it will still point to the original directory. Delete it and make a new shortcut to "c:\program files (x86)\CCP\EVE Alt\launcher\launcher.exe".

Then you have 2 clients, 2 launchers... start them, set them up to the appropriate windows and enjoy. Don't forget to use fixed window instead of full screen (which you might probably know already) to prevent the game from minimizing when not being the selected application.

Only downside I guess is that each directory might need to get patched/updated separately. It would be better if we could keep one client and specify a parameter in the launcher's shortcut to tell what monitor we want.

Yep, Shameless found the answer I was going to post. It'll work fine if you have the spare HDD space.

and every time the game gets patched you either have to patch both or patch one and copy it again....
