You'd think they would give the Inferno drug to a biochemist and ask him to figure out how to mitigate its side effects, and how to make more.

I approve of any addition and change to the game that furthers the fight for freedom. Especially when it involves burning Amarr whores in an inferno.

Dat ending. Big smile

Brilliant read, thanks!

Yes, for a change, the end is somehow upbeat and not yet another depressing nail on the depressing coffin of EVE's depressing dystopia.

a torso is something that has arms, lower parts and head chopped off, not something used to describe your loved one's exposed body after love making, just saying. OopsP

his problem was he was talking, should have just kept going with the formula, white boards and the computer terminals, never explain why it work so that thing like his subroutine will always go unnoticed

What a bytch!

This was a brilliantly crafted story TorfiFrans, thank you. I especially enjoyed that the sentimental, bittersweet collision of loyalty and ambition almost completely obscured the nagging suspicion something was awry. I was left feeling sad but satisfied by the outcome.

I look forward to your first EVE novel and your movie/web series scripts.

Lol, no it doesn't, you psycho ;). 'Torso' refers specifically to the trunk of the body and not to the limbs or head, but they don't have to have been amputated. Next you'll be saying the pelvis can only be referred to as such if it has been detached from the rest of the body. Is a head still a head if it's been severed?

Sorry couldn't resist.

Oh, and nice read ;)

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.
