Docking games are stupid and add nothing to Eve. Plain and simple. If you're going to be a big girl and kill people on station you should have big enough panties to commit to the fight.

I don't care who griefs who. Just want the aggression timer to be longer for everyone regardless of who is at what war.

I prefer two minutes of hate, rather than your system.

I'd like a system based on ship size. 30s for frigs, 60s for cr/bc, 90s for BS, 5 mins for caps.

Errr, sure, what about the people who undock to find 10+ ships camping their station?

Rather annoyingly, station games tend to be a lot of peoples' first forays into shooting back, as otherwise they'd all just die for certain the moment they hit undock.

Inferno brought us windows from hell, but not, it seems, windows from a station.

I would prefer it if CCP added a tractor beam that could pull ships off the docking point... Shocked

They exist. They're called Machariels, and 100MN MWD Cynabals/SFIs.

I think the difference is that that thread is all kinds of stupid.

This one isn't bad, however might I suggest that the aggression timer be variable dependent on ship size? It would have to be shown somewhere clearly though, maybe in the show info page on your ship or the fittings window. And they'd have to add a visible timer of some kind.

But seriously, IMHO aggression timers and SD timers should have been made variable years ago. I believe both proposals were made and voted through unanimously by the CSM, to no response on CCP's part.

(One unintended side effect of variable aggression timers though, it might mess with CCP's plans to eventually have logistics adopt the aggression timers of the ships they are repairing. Making it all an overly-complicated mess. So they'd probably have to simplify the variables by rounding them up or down or putting ship classes in specific brackets.)

Use a scout or dock back up. I'm talking about, if you attack and get aggression, you can't dock back up. If you undock and you get shot at you can dock back up. And I know we already have this somewhat but the timer needs to be longer. Capital ships and higher should have like 15 minutes.

OP is an idiot. Example if applied to real world

OP: Yeah, I am party of the Awesome Army and I am here to take care of insurgents. Can you please come out of your cave.
Insurgent: Sure thing boss.
OP: *points gun at Insurgents as they exit cave, he fires missing* Damn it!
Insurgent: *Runs back into the cave*
OP: What the hell man? Thats it, I am appealing to a higher power. Expect NATO and the UN on your ass to force you out of that cave.

Oh wait....why did the insurgent go back into the cave? Because his plan was to fight on the cave/dock. You fell for his plan, you are an idiot and deserve to lose. Nothing needs to change. Hell, I don't understand why so many damn idiots in this game whine about the docking and gate games...its as dumb as a hulk pilot fitting cargo expanders. Hulk pilot fits tank, he is less likely to lose...you adapt your plan and pop the ship before it docks....or just don't fight on undock and station gates. Sit 120km away from dock...now he has to come to you...opps. winning plan, since most dock radius is not that largebut you can't warp inside 120 and certainly can't dock at that range.

real world events......SciFi Game escaping reality. I wondered how long it would be before someone came up with a diffrent thread name but basic idea. oh yeah internet rule 32.

If you want to get down to it. There should be 1 or entry ports and a couple of exit ports. well you need to be over by the entry port to dock sucks trying to enter an exit only drive......hmmm i may have to add that to my idea but sadly we all know something like that would mean station over hauling re skinning and alot more coding then and the possible breakage of eve with that one. hence the longer time to redock.

As for the Cave/Insurgent toss a few frag grenades inside he cave......insurgent becomes chunky salsa. something CCP will not let us do with the stations.

If i'm such an idiot why are you the one making the idiotic posts? You know what happens to insurgents in a cave? They get liquefied by a bunker buster. So if you are going to make dumbass examples, at least follow your "logic" all the way through. Thanks for the shitposting alt, i'm sure you're livelihood in Eve will be threatened as some elite hisec pvp griefer if this goes through.

Besides, what station captain (or whatever) would want to allow a ship to dock while it's fighting? Seems kind of dangerous.
