CCP Please STOP SCREWING UP EVE.

Every one i know has now given up on EVE, and I don't want to be next.

A long chat with some mates in corp and we have come to the conclusion that this game is going down hill, it was so much better when I started.
Launcher still sucks, New UI sucks even more, i want multiple windows god damn it. Seriously FIRE who ever thought this new UI was good.

IMPORTANT
How bout from now on when you guys release ANYTHING to do with the UI in the game add a button in the general settings that reverts it back to the old settings allowing people a who think it sucks a choice. It's called freedom.

Signed once again by an unhappy CUSTOMER...........

P.S.
Forcing all the locals images to load sucks even more, i don't know if i have seen the toon before. Also LAG!

P.P.S. Stupid suggestion time, make a server with an early release of EVE for us old reminiscing farts, dual MWD are the drool. OR stop messing the game up.

I would like to bring some new things in the right light as you see now.

First ......... Salvage - open container / wreck takes about 0.3 + - seconds longer. Call it lag. Just open the container now takes about 0.3s longer. We want to have a slower game or how.

Second .............. Item manager chapter for itself. I do not know who invented this system for storing things, ships, etc..

Before the expansion was one window, scattered as it is wanted. Cargohold, hangar, things on the station. Between the windows is simply one click could toss back and forth here and there and everywhere. The current system you can not even remember how this one does help shift + click. If I change the ship, undock, dock, jump.

Now I feel stupid imposed a window that has a lot of interactivity far. What I can see how much ISK I have? On it I photographed it and put it in a showcase? But this is one of me, I just have a dig.

Give a choice, the old system items, ships, etc.. A new system. The current system item manager email unusable for me, as it is.The current system item manager is unusable for me, as it is. Inability to store windows hangar cargohold, things on the station. So what I want and not forced upon me as one of the window at nothing.

thanks for your attention

Hi

The inventory system looks like its made by someone who dossent play the game or dont own much inventory it works just as bad as microsofts filetrees thats why so many have programs like norton commander(Total commande) or have multiple windows open.

Let the left menu be optional and make it possibel to open more then 1 items or have 2 parts of the item tree open at the same time (Look at Total commander). Best would be both so you use 1 in space and the other on stations.

I've never been on these forums before. But Eve should seriously reconsider the suitablity of some of their staff for their jobs!!!!!

I would seriously propose that Eve offer all players a free month playing as compensation

Whoever thought of complicating the inventory and ships displays has absolutely no empathy with the players.

Ok, feedback on new inventory.

And folks, please, comments like "it sucks, I'm outta here" are stupid. Take time to get used to it. Having said that, I do have a few comments.

I live in a WH, so the new inventory is a bit of a PITA for me for a number of reasons.

1) you still cannot rename POS Modules. If you COULD I could tell which one of the 10 CHAs are which.

2) There is no filtering of locations. In my list I have the pos guns, the CHAs, labs, tower, SMAs, we need a filter strip at the bottom of the list to allow me to hide all the pos guns. I don't need to SEE those in normal operation. I should not have to scroll past 15 pos guns to get to my CHAs.

hiya

been scrolling through entire thread, I see devs answering all sorts of question except the one that matters the most for most players. why the heck change the cargo/loot wreck/corp hangar/ship hangar etc?

clearly the most of eve players do not like it, I am defenatly one of them that does hate it, missiles are ok but imo not really needed to change either, I would say from all the updates I think this is by far the worse one.

As far as I can see and read on sisi already was told the change of hangar/inventory window was not a big success, so why change it anyways?

Maybe CCP should listen more to the community then to change what they think is fun, previous patch screwed up the incursion, this patch screw up the hangar/inventory... what is going to be screwed next patch?

I understand some people don't like the new inventory, but hating on them missiles + launchers is plain and simply wrong! The missile launchers have to be one of the best things to grace my Vengeance! It adds some amazing aesthetics to Caldari Combat, much better than a randomly spawning missile from your hull!

Adding my 5c

Not happy with the new UI.
I had a way of having my station window, ship window, fitting tool, drone and ship cargo open all at once and setting up for a particular mission, completing the mission, returning and setting up again for the next mission or job.

I could see how much ammo i had on board at a glance, and drag more if needed, but now i have to check the ship bay first, or open it as a separate window, then return to station and etc....etc...

Really can't be bothered typing it all.
As everyone else (except maybe 2 people) have said, I'm not happy with the new UI.

There are some elements of it that have potential, but overall the old UI was better.

If it hasn't already been suggested, how about putting it to a poll?

CCP Arrow and CCP Optimal and their team is responsible for that mess. Set them to -10 and send them the notification. If they ignore us on the forum they might see the protest in their mail account in eve.

After today's DT - local looks like it may have been fixed. However, still seeing ghosts in chat channels.

Any pool up on how many releases to get back to our standing pool of bugs?

EDIT: BAH posted to wrong thread. Why in the heck are the feedback and problem reporting threads not sticky announced in General Discussion?

I really like the graphics updates and the new missile/launchers! Smile

But the new inventory system... well... Ugh it's not that intiutive and far from efficient... to put it mildly.

Here's the thing CCP:

* POS Issues: Renaming every f'ing gun at my POS is not a fix to the massively slow load times of the inventory tree, nor the mess that it creates by having 30+ menu items in the list that are totally unnecessary. That was a really, really dumb way to "fix" the issue. The problem is that I'm 50+km away from a module, yet it shows up in the tree even though I have to be within, what, 3km to interact with it. Why are my guns even there if I'm not even remotely close to them? On top of that, do you know how frickin' long it's going to take to rename everything?

* Salvaging/Looting: Give me a break already! Sure, I can shift-click to open each wreck or can's inventory box in a new window like before, but damnit, close the f'ing window after I hit Loot All. Don't reload my ship's inventory in the same window! It takes anywhere from 3 to 40 seconds for that window to reload, and the more items I loot, the longer it takes for the UI to load, and that's time where I literally can not do anything else, as even activating a module waits on the UI window to load items.

* As others have stated, return the right-click ability to quickly open cargohold, ore hold, corporate hangar, etc. It used to be click->click done. Now it's double click -> click -> scroll scroll scroll scroll scrolll oh **** I went too far scroll scroll scroll ******* finally GOD DAMNIT IT I FORGOT TO SHIFT-CLICK AND NOW I HAVE TO REOPEN MY CARGOHOLD AGAIN DAMNIT!!!!!!!!

Some suggested solutions:

1. Give us the ability to group menu items in any way, shape, or form that we desire. For example. I've got 30 POS guns or so. Let me group those guns into a menu tree named "Boomsticks!", then let me collapse those trees so that I don't see ever single gun in the tree.

2. Load only the selected container. Don't preload the entire inventory of every container within 300km, then reload them all again when I select the next container (which seems to happen about half the time, but not always, except when looting wrecks and then it happens every single time)

3. As stated above, return the right-click menu items for cargohold, corp hangar, ore hold, and so on, so that I can open them quickly, in a new, size-remembered and no tree visible window quickly and easily. That's at the very least.

4. Even better!!!!! Give us the option to drag a menu item from the UI (let's say Ore Hold) to the new neocom and create a shortcut button that's visible when I'm in my Orca, but not visible when I'm in, say, my stealth bomber. I realize that's a lot of additional coding and probably won't happen anytime soon, but god that would be so awesome and would actually compensate for not having the right-click menu items available anymore. Hell, that would be even better. (ARE YOU LISTENING TO THIS CCP SOUNDWAVE!)

Anyway, that's my two cents. Just thought I'd put that in there now that we're

EDIT: Okay, now I see some of these changes are already incorporated, but I still stand by the fact that you should have listened to your testers on Sisi before deciding to roll out a really poorly crafted product.

Not sure I'd you addressed this in the 40 pages prior, but can you explain this change with more detail?

Fixed an issue where BPCs invented with decryptors would sometimes have one less production run than they should have

Seems to be some confusion on what change actually happened here. When did the "sometimes" happen?

Thanks
