Is there a way to turn this feature off so i don't get this information while scrolling over items?

It may be fine for some people and needed by others, but I do not need it nor want it.

I was wondering that, I figured it was a regional average but who knows. I guess it's useful in certain situations but only as a very rough guide.

I do understand that the accuracy of the price estimate may differ a bit from the actual market value where you are, but when getting the estimated value of a ship, it should include estimate for the fittings, rigs and subsystems....

I got a bit depressed when the system told me that my 700 mill tengu was worth less then 300 mill

Was wondering how the price was calculated, but like it..... saves me time when I reprocess stuff. And I only see it when I am docked, so its not distracting.

I asked about where the estimated prices came from last night, conclusion reached by myself and another poster was that

It looks like it's EVE wide. Like most statistics in EVE it isn't accurate. Doesn't consider supply and demand or volume, only pools very restricted numbers and supplies an average.

Max price in New Eden is 10 mill, min price is 1mill, average is 5 mill. for example, not considering that 9999 units are at 1 mill and only one unit is at 10.

because the figures on some items were quite far off for the market hubs we checked.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Universal it seems. I have skill books in null on my main that have no sell/buy orders but still have an est. on them

I like it. It is useful when sorting out what to sell... however, there should be a setting to allow you to:

1) Turn it off.
2) Change it to display regional average/best buy order/best sell order/etc
