Yes Inferno had arrive with the new Inventory Crap.

We want to play a game, on SPACE, and not spending hours to find where are the hangars, how can I easy open my cargo from my ship, my drone bay, moving stuff from one ship to another, open the capital hangar of a capital, open the corp hangar, see the ships separate like before, now ...... this don´t make any sense.

This is a Kaus, why complicate what is simple, there is a lot of things on this game, that need to be fix, that need to be improve, why touch in things that ever work good.

You must return and back again the old hangars, think and use it, try to test it, as a person that need to fit one ship fast, and you have all your assets in diferent hangars or containers. This don´t work, will take ages to make something that before work in seconds.

RETURN the OLD HANGARS ASAP.

Not really. Either we're totally misunderstanding you, or you don't really understand this patch.

For a start, it has never been possible to disrupt a fresh login warp. This is true for all EVE builds including the current one. Newly logged in ships are unlockable in the same manner as undocking ships (and bubbles do not work on them either in this build).
Which is lucky, as what you just described is utterly insane. Did you mean to say that only ships which have not yet vanished from space (usually due to aggro) should be affected by this? That makes sense.

However your post above implies that any slow-aligning ship, including ones that logged out in a forcefield and have not been online for days, should be able to be tackled within 30 seconds of logging in with nothing they can do about it. Surely you can see how that would break the game utterly? Please clarify.

Let me add some thing, probably useless but here we go:

I ran a couple of missions and liked the missiles, but they behave as they were flying on earth, not space. I'm not even commenting on their fins, because I know that's a feature that was intended to make them look more cool. They even have this worn, dirty look...missiles have a short life you know, they're not like ships.
Faction and a normal munition look alike, should have some logo or something to differentiate them in market view.

I bet most of the ships in eve are new, so why are we flying ships with aged textures. It's nice, but doesn't reflect what's happening in game. Only for hight graphcis settings.

Missile Launchers: I wonder why, when I fit 7 launchers on my Drake, it displays 14. 7 on each side, is that meant to be?


I would't compare the inventory flop with the Incarna Fiasco. Come on guys. I'm sure CCP is already trying to find a better solution as we speak. This expansion was called INFERNO not "INVENTORIA"

Probably the worst of the most pathetic pilots in New Eden.

I'm not keen on this new idea of showing the full station name when you autolink it in chat despite only using the system name for the link text. We had a useful chat channel that corp members could use for handy system/station links in the MOTD, up until yesterday it was nice and neat, after the expansion it's an unreadable mess.

Everyone is so heated (understandably) about the unified inventory system! I must say that I waited for the patch to be done so I could log on and see what my characters would look like with all the different skin tones. After taking a number of screen grabs from the character creator I did some minor tweaking with the free resculpt, but overall my characters didn't change much since I have grown quite fond of those little physical quirks. Looking at this topic it is obvious that most of the players don't care much about Team Avatar and the WIS stuff, but know that I really appreciate the token addition, since I didn't expect anything new for character creation in 2012. I agree that most of CCP's energy needs to be focused on what fans want, yet it is really nice of you to remember the handful of us who actually joined because of Incarna. I would be more than happy if the handful of apparel items that are already listed in the Tranquility inventory or SiSi were to go live by the end of the year with the hope of offices or bars sometime in 2013.

New inventory is a pain for mining.

Please have it so that the floating cargo containers open in a separate box not in the main inventory panel, this would greatly help the miners, many of whom seem to be getting frustrated over this change. Also mining crystals seem to be dying at alarming rates.

Get ready for prices to double again if these issues can't be resolved.

THE NEW INVENTORY SYSTEM.

- As an added feature, on the sidebar, in a separate window just like all other items on the sidebar, a Unified Inventory would have been AWESOME. This is what I expected. +10

- As a replacement for the old inventory system it SUCKS BALLS in every possible way. Did not expect this. -10

See what you did there CCP, you missed a great opportunity. Everyone would have liked it, none would have complained.

CCP's development cycle REVEALED:


  1. Designer gets a stupid idea.
  2. Designer creates mockup, presents to Hilmar via an email.
  3. Hilmar makes a presentation at Fanfest about how CCP has learned from it's mistakes and will be introducing NEW! PATCHES! WITH MISSILES! Little mention of the stupid idea.
  4. Coders implement while stoned out of their minds.
  5. Coders shove the committed code over to a desk marked 'QA'.
  6. QA doesn't exist, janitor eventually finds the dusty box of CDs and turns it in at Lost & Found (AKA Beta Deployment).
  7. Beta Deployment shoves it onto SiSi, goes back to watching reruns of Friends.
  8. SiSi ******* explodes, players report numerous problems.
  9. Developers issue halfhearted assurances during the commercials while watching Everybody Loves Raymond.
  10. Deployment. The emails coming in create a loud buzzing sound in the telecom lines, which also happens to interrupt the NCIS marathon everyone was watching.
  11. CCP runs around in a panic, pretends that bugs are design decisions, assures everyone bugs will be fixed. Well, the obvious ones that are easy to fix. They don't want to talk about the bigger ones.
  12. First patch is deployed. More bugs are created. Telecom line is now on fire.
  13. Patch 2, another strike. Arcs are coming off the T3 line and shorting out the cable TV, so now CCP can focus.
  14. Patch 3 and onwards start to actually fix things.
  15. Hilmar announces next cool feature + stupid idea bundle, focus is shifted and bugs are left unfixed.

Dear CCP, streamlining the whole Amarr line towards Khanid colors is a win, and with new missiles effects, Khanid ships are even better IMO, me likes very much Cool

The inventory took a bit to get used to, but no longer having to open half a dozen windows to adjust fittings really rocks.
The things that urgently need to be fixed regarding inventory:

  • Postion/size settings, along with automatic opening with session changes.
  • SMA/POS Hangars naming.
  • Ships with multiple bays.

There's two things I would suggest to simply improve the UI after that:

  • The font on the inventory window tree isn't contrasting enough and it's a very old issue in many other places in game, please use shadings for fonts, how many time did I have to cam around until I find a dark enough part of space to see something because the star or some bright clouds melted with the fonts? and now the inventory tree as a dark gray text over a brighter gray background with anything than black theme... readability is something very important ye know?
  • For the love of God, add horizontal scrollbars!!! any list view window is a pain right now because they all need to be stretched to display all columns when a simple universal decades-old scrollbar could help, like the market window, the items hangar, the wallet window, compare mods window.... shall I continue?

the unified inventory is annoying.. its sooooo annoying and its not even working properly.
Its annoying because of the tree view of hangars and because I cant easily access multiple at once without explicitely opening them in new window, and this is why its extremely annoying.

What did you try to fix with this new cr*ppy inventory system?
You dont simplify everything by putting the same amount of unrelated things all together in the mix and give it a pain to use interface!!

Even more annoying is cargo window popping all the time up everytime I jump through a gate but its a different issue!

The bright side of Inferno are missile and bomb animations, they are teh win!
Purifier model sucks, Manticore rulez, Nemesis and Hound are OK.

I don't like the inventory either, just to add to that.

A massive bug I am having is that players are not leaving local chat when they leave system, they are not leaving corp/alliance/public chat when they log out of the game. How the hell am I to know if there's someone in system or not?
THIS NEEDS FIXING NOW.
