I would like to see a Fast Advanced Space Ship Combat UI, NOT a "Word Processor" Menu. The Unified Inventory is not for this game, Unified Inventory s*cks!.

Nice one, the missile graphics are much better, big improvement for my FPS, a visual bliss.

Will get back to the Inventory when my brain has stopped aching, looks different and interesting. I like the detail.

Faction Warfare looks interesting, fun.

How about an Alliance H.Q. to moor Super Capitols for walking in stations?

Getting you on your feet.

So you've further to fall.

I am trying really hard to accept this new inventory system but (yes I saw it on SiSi and tried to intervene there as well as bring attention to it with the main stream folks, but it feels as though we were ignored):

There is no point to having the ship hangar in the background if you have more than a couple ships because you need to expand the UI window so large that it covers everything up. Might as well turn off 'load station environments' .

Position memory is a pain in the afterburner, that is supposed to be fixed 'soon(tm)'. If this isn't done correctly this is, in my opinion, a game breaker.

Looting SUuUCKS! Instead of a nice small pop-up window with a loot all button it is constantly taking over the cargobay window. So either I move my cargo bay to the upper right while looting or I mouse all over the place (how about a 'loot all keyboard command?" )

The removal of the right-click to open the various bays on the Orca is annoying as hell. That they are also indented in the tree just feels wrong. If CCP wants to remove right-click options, make them OPTIONAL to turn off (or on) rather than just remove them.

I'll wait and see what they do with this, but people that handle a large amount of material are still going to find this annoying as hell.

I'm getting a lot of clocking waiting for my inventory to load.

My ship is damaged after every mission due to CCP Tuxford. :(

Oh,, WTB Siege Launcher for my Typhoon. The discription says that I get a bonus to using them, but I can't find them on the market. But they must look awesome to with the new graphics.

Unified Inventory design=failure. Worst feature I've seen in EVE. More annoying than the whole of Incarna expansion. At least we can turn captain's quarters off until we get something useful to do with it.

I might add that I remember a company that would release uselss and annoying **** and ignore negative feedback about it during testing and after. It was a little company called Sony Online Entertainment. This is exactly the kind of behavior their SW:Galaxies team had.

I really like all of the features I've played with on this expansion EXCEPT for the ****** inventory system. Kill it! Kill it with fire!

In the character sheet window, the killmail/lossmail tabs have been replaced with a drop-down menu option. Why was this? The only purpose this seems to serve is to double the number of clicks required to achieve the same result.

Only other "compromise" I can think of would be to at least separate 3 entities from each other, while "unifying" them:

1: A QUICK "CURRENT STATION INVENTORY window you are docked at. (That would save some time for both quick and complex tasks during all facets of gameplay one can do while docked at a station.)
.......

THIS IS A DEFINITE... (Seriously, you gotta read that man's post, CCP. He even gives you possible compromizes to consider!)

After opening windows in a station, I undock and I'm stuck with a ship cargohold that lists prices and crap I don't need... I can't double click to quickly open a small container or I'm stuck with that and no back button (and i'd rather have a tab of my main cargohold AND one for the container for quick gear and ammo switches without a spinny wheel)...

AND THEN I dock... and there is NO WAY to easily open up the windows I had opened up previously... so I have to somehow make my cargohold window bigger, pull open the side menu, find the "Inventory" and right click on it, select open in new window and resize - blah blah blah.

Come on CCP? I want the old windows and tabs back. PLEASE!

AND TIME INVOLVED IN "RETREIVING CONTENTS" TAKES AWHILE....

ALSO: "Switching Ships" (HAS ANYONE ELSE MENTIONED THIS?)

This is a problem I haven't seen brought up, but when i "board a new ship," it lags for a good 20 seconds to a minute before pulling up the info... that's with the fitting window open.

So much for the brilliant "open contents of a ship without boarding it" change you did last year...
And so much for being able to drag items to the top portion of a window to drop into that window without dropping something into a container....

MAKE IT OPTIONAL OR MAKE IT GO AWAY PLEASE.

So I logged on this afternoon to check out the new patch.
Saw and played about with the new unified inventory. It wasnt long before I noticed a few good and bad things.

Good
- The design looks nice and feels smooth with my limited testing.
- The estimated ISK value is a very nice feature :)

Bad
Putting everything into one window.... how is that good?
Stuck windows
No right clicking carrier hangers.

So yea i logged off after that as it felt ******. I didnt even get chance to check out the new missiles or look at the stealthbombers.

CCP you are losing reputation you havent changed in the slightest.

After having used the inventory system all day I can say that I absolutely hate it compared to the old system. Stop telling people to shift click to open separate windows. I should not have to do an additional step to retain the functionality of the old system, that is poor design.

For the love of God, separate the corp hangar/deliveries from this system. I need to be able to open a window containing the whole corp hanger with tabbed interface, not just a single division. Please return its button to station services or at the very least a separate button on the neocom.

People don't like being told to just deal with it. Listen to your customers for once without us having to post a 100 page threadnaught to get something you have decided is "best" fixed.

Having said all this, I do like the filters. I just don't want everything in one window as in the current implementation.

I think I could get used to the new Inventory System and even like it if the following things happen:

1) Give us the "back" button just like in the info window. One miss-click and you have no idea which window or container you are in and it can be confusing trying to find your way back again. This is especially true if you have a large corp hangar full of separate containers.

2) Alt+C should always open only your ships cargo. This should not change when in station. The current active ship cargo should always be a separate window from everything else.

3) When opening several cans in rapid succession while in space (salvaging) you get a little list of all the cans near you. This is nice, except that once you "loot all" you return to your cargo hold. It would be nice if you moved up to the next can on the list rather than your cargo hold after looting. This way you can quickly loot several cans in a row.

4) Double-clicking a ship from the window in the station will put you in that ship. This action used to open that ships cargo hold. Please return this action.

I live at a POS. The new inventory management screen is the craziest, stupid change I have EVER seen. REALLY? Did you try to make my Eve life more compicated, on purpose?

I am not one for the forms, but this time I have to speak up.

There is a old adage " If something is not broken don't fix it "

I played a game for 7 years and they tried to better the game so much I did not like it any longer and have not been back since.

After 6 years in EVE and all the changes I have seen, they have always seemed to make the game better. (cough)

This modified or enhanced inventory management change just does not work for me, please revert it back to the old way.

I can not play with this type of FUBR system.

This inventory thing is the stupidest thing I've ever seen in this game. Whoever came up with it should lose thier job and get waterboarded. Cause that's how ****ing torturous it is to use it. Good job CCP.

The new Inventory window should have been your new Asset Manager window!

Exactly!

Had they done this with assets it really would have been much nicer, although I use my assets window mainly for quick bookmarks to other stations and nothing else. Which might be why I wouldn't care if they messed with it.

That is actually the place where I was looking for it right after the patching. Until I realized what they did :-(

That's what I did too. I looked at personal assets, then corp assets and thought 'hmm.. maybe they don't have this inventory stuff live yet' .. did they take it out?

...

then I thought 'hmm.. where's my items window? .. and corp hanger button..' Double click for cargo hold and .. "OH DEAR GOD, NO!!!"
