So is it realy 5200, or a bunch of people and a lot of "ghost locals"?

I didn't remain in local, but I did stay in corp for over an hour while logged into another character

seems to get worse with higher pops?

omg they fixed the lag

Also how many cant the eve chat server hold then seeing as we are having too much load... must mean eve can not grow too much...

Those extra 3-4k people in local are still getting packets sent to their clients... only the clients aren't connected. It's NUKING server CPU, this is why Jita is lagging to ****. The servers literally can't keep up with the ghost locals because there are so many. Two of my alts still show in local 8 hours later...

I logged out on two characters and logged into an alt on each account and I was still logged in with my mains in a couple of private channels. Bit screwy.

While this gentleman profits from experience and puts it in to it's service/advantage, some other responsible of this UI stuff did not learned the lesson and actually likes making fun of our time/money.

Me does not like when little people have fun of meh with my hard time working money.

Hi, please fire your QA team and whoever writes the unit tests. Stuff like "chat not deleting people who log out" should have been caught by basic playtesting by the developers. If not them, the unit tests they run prior to sending the product to QA. Failing that, your QA team, who I am certain would have written up a series of test plans containing instructions on how to test for this exact kind of very obvious problem.

Then again, it's entirely possible your QA team did tell you and you ignored it, if the SiSi testers are telling the truth.

I'm actually impressed that the chat server issue is the only major one (identified) up til now for an expansion as big as this.

Also, joking about the issue can be a good thing, at the very least CCP have identified the issue and (very likely) is working on the solution atm. I'm not saying it's the right thing to do, but yeah, it doesn't matter.
