No. I want my windows back. Not a right click, shift or something other. Just more windows. Und burn the new UI.

I learned from the Overview debacle, they don't really care what we think, so you may as well save your time and focus on something else.

These guys are very obstinate and they aren't accountable for the changes they make. Getting mad doesn't change that. It's who they are and how their company runs.

In related news, I tried the inventory system and it is a POS. I logged off 5 minutes later and cannot think of a compelling reason to login again.

Very unimpressive expansion relative to Crucible.

Tears will be shed and pants will need to be changed all round.

Regarding new UI: I already pointed out (or quoted) some aspects of it, so let's concentrate on what I saw on the actual release on TQ ...

- We can collapse the inventory tree, which is a "good thing" (tm), that means we can have windows of reasonnable size even in outer space. \o/

- It would be nice to have an option "reset my filters" in case of something goes wrong with the ones we created. Moreover it seems that the default ones can be removed, not sure it is a good idea.

- Even if it is not possible to have separate icons for the different ships, is it possible at least to have a different icon for the hangar itself ? That would be a nice thing.

To be continued ...

EVE, cu later old m8!

You have changed so much over the years, but this time to the worse.
I still love you - but I'm really too annoyed to play with you right now.

Come on, why the **** do all my modules suddenly take damage when I do missions ?

I'm having issues with the new inventory, I get blackscreens that last for 30s to 3min when I try to open corp hangars or move ships/items from a corp hangar to my hangar (only in stations). Fitting and changing ships in station now takes significantly longer then yesterday and makes fitting even a single ship a chore. I play on a low end machine but the performance I'm getting in station is worse then what I get in large fleet fights.

+1

items and ships loading delay in my station and my hangar around 12-30 seconds after patch.
And Im not understand why I need to wait till all items load if I need only change ship and dont want to see loadind window with items?!

Separate SHIPS from ITEMS and doesn't load them all in same time if we need ONLY SHIPS !

the options still there in the esc menu, i dont get why they enabled it for everyone lol

OK so after having half an hour to cool down I am just going to say this:

The inventory is the single worst thing to happen to my eve player experience since I started playing the game in 2005. I have seen many expansions, good and bad, but I honestly can not believe that something like this has been allowed to get in to TQ.

It is so bad I have completely lost sight of anything that may be good at all, I have no idea what changes have been made that improve the game for me, as I am now lost in a single window which I can turn in to multiple windows IF I want, which loads slowly. Makes fuelling posses take about 5 times longer and more complicated. And unnecessarily makes it difficult to manage my corp hangar.

TY CCP!

I have been asking myself that a lot after each consecutive, blunder-filled update. I have come to the conclusion that the answer is

"No"

I am also further leaning towards thinking that these "feedback" posts and even the CSM may just be turning into marketting fluff so CCP can look like it is really "in" with it's playerbase and values it.
The truth may in fact be that CCP cares about dollars, and players that have been in game a long time don't buy GTC's as they are ISK-rich, so make them rage quit and the new blood will spend RL money not use ISK to play.

Ok, then I have like 44 containers listed, that makes me happy... #not.

Inferno INVENTORY Feedback : Looting Multiple Cargo Containers

When Salvaging and attempting to loot multiple wrecks/cargo containers, the new Inventory window is slow to refresh and cursor focus keeps reverting to the main Ship Inventory.

===

When surrounded by cargo containers...

Old UI : you would just double-click on a pile of the containers which would open in their staggered stack and you could then click Loot All moving up the stack.

New UI : double-clicking on a bunch of containers correctly lists the containers in the main Inventory Items window. You need to click on a container to select it then move the mouse to the Loot All button. When you click it, the Focus flips back to your own ship's inventory and there is a slight delay as the inventory window is refreshed.

Selecting another container incurs another short delay as (I presume) the value of items in the container is looked up. When you click this container's Loot All button, the cursor focus again flips to the ship inventory window and there is the same delay as the inventory is refreshed.

It seems that the more Cargo Containers you have open in this way, the slower the refresh is each time, to the point where it can take a couple of seconds to refresh properly.

If you try to click on a targeted container in the inventory window BEFORE the screen has time to flip back to the ship inventory, there is a risk you will get the "You cannot place this object inside itself" (or whatever the actual message is) error. You will also still keep getting delays as the container contents are refreshed.

===

FEATURE REQUEST : After clicking the Loot All button of a valid container, please move the cursor up one in the list to the next targeted container OR add a "Loot ALL targeted containers" option.

the number of you who actually unsub over this is going to be massively small, you're all just throwing your toys around, otherwise you'll post screens of your account cancellations like last time.

This has probably been mentioned, but is there a way to make it so that the inventory window auto-opens when you dock, if it was open when you undocked?

There are certain things they've said they're working on fixes for, this is one of them, window retention, the corp member hangar list, what you're reading here is basically 5 posters bitching up a storm that they've had to adapt to something new.

Yet not a one of them opened their mouth when we were force fed Dominion sov rules and changes, nobody complained when Titan changes or supercarrier changes went through, nobody stood up for the nano ships when they got nuked from orbit.

This change like all others, people will learn to live with, or wont, and the game will ramble on.

There's an easy answer for that: of the approximate 400,000 EVE Online subscribers, how many of them hold sov in an 0.0 system, or fly a Titan?

How many of them use inventory? There ya go big guy - now you get it.

You're a minority - you should probably get used to the general population not caring about your problems.

Actually, what they do is keep us from going outside the CCP ecosystem to complain in places where they can't moderate.

It's just basic public relations to have a forum so you can internalize dissent. Most companies do this in one way or another.

Every business cares about dollars, and those isk rich guys create a market for GTCs. That CCP has been able to create a legal market for ISK is probably one of the better things they have done.

I doubt it is about some conspiracy to drive players away, but an organizational blind spot which continues to go unaddressed.

Tears will be shed and pants will need to be changed all round.

Yep, I think you're right. I thought the Winter expansion, Crucible, was CCP getting back in touch with things, now this. What?

I am not going to unsub, just like all the times when I file a petition and get a response from someone who has literally no idea about game mechanics replies to a petition with a generic copy and paste response which has literally no relevance to the issue I had. Doesn't mean I cant rage about it though..

I will keep my 4 accounts running, I live in hope that the people who make this game will listen and respond.

I mean, can we not just opt out of this stupid time wasting inventory?

Holy crap is that really what happens now?! I haven't had time to run a mission but that sounds like a HORRIBLE idea...

Good God I'm glad they already ruined the Drone Regions and I left that place! Can't imagine running Drone Hordes with THIS inventory "system"! Yikes...

At work and have yet to login today. Can someone please report how these changes have impacted ship spinning?
