Title explains it all. I'm interested in what you guys did with this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aecJpihJYD8 Does the current captains quarters use it? Was it too demanding on the system? I remember watching this and being completely taken back by the visual results that this could produce. So whats the story on it and why don't we have interiors that look like that yet? Would love to hear back from a dev about it.

I'd assume they're still working on the graphics in the CQ.. I at least remember my poor 8800GT moaning and weeping the first time i entered them ;)..

Perhaps they chose a different approach and decided to stick with it?

its prolly not too high on ccps agenda atm, but apart from the amarrian quarters all others really feel cold and sterile

The current Captain Quarters use Enlighten. As far as I know, it's all fully integrated since the Captain's Quarters were released with Incarna. It's just that the old teaser had non-textured surfaces which makes the lighting itself more obvious whereas the current version has textures and so on, which makes it not so obvious. Also, all the character shading is using Enlighten, in the same way this sphere in the video was shaded.

The thing is, that with the change of focus for EVE/CCP ,the initial plans for more actually dynamic light sources seems to be off the table. We will see what happens in the future, especially seeing the videos from last Fan Fest. But again, it's all running in the current version.

And also the graphics card doesn't matter since it completely runs on the CPU.
