OP: New interface is awesome. It is intuitive, easily managed using the filters on the left, and you can use it the same way as the old one, just streamlined.

Whine post is whine post.

Why don't you try using it instead of just summarizing CCP's Release Notes.

To me, these changes just follow the modern-culture tech trend of "less information to the end-user is better."

In this case, though, I want to be able to see lots of information, all at once. People say Eve looks like Excel, and even though it may in some ways, that's what makes it so unique and powerful.

It seems as if many of the complaints people are making [and some of my own] are rooted in the compartmentalization of information in the new system. It's very easy to lose track of what you're doing if you can't see the before and after at the same time, in this case, inventory windows that you are moving items to or from.

I realize there's an option to split up the windows, but this is an extra step already -- an extra step, ultimately leading in the direction of the old inventory UI anyway.

Side comments:

From a technical/design standpoint, the new inventory system looks really nice, I feel like it just may not have a comfortable place in Eve. It is reliant on text as an indicator, rather than visuals, which I think may be its biggest downfall. Symbols [such as the ship icons] process very quickly in comparison to text.

I need the windows for the various things like my Hanger Cargo and my Ship Cargo TO BE DISTINCT. Scrollbars and Drop-Down Arrows to find crap ? No thanks on this. It's still terrible.

Re-iterating one comment I made 7 days ago here that got buried:

"This smacks more of someone trying to impress a boss with shiny instead of impressing the customers."

My mind on this has changed...not.

New inventory sucks, end of story. Easiest fix? Put an option to turn it off and enable the old inventory system in the general settings menu; that or just make it so that I can pull the Items/Ships tab off of the station panel.
