Shocked

How is this possible?

Are you telling me that a cubed meter fits in my head? Is there some ridiculous explanation behind this?

I found it irritating that I need a ship bigger than a shuttle to fly a handful of implants around, even though they should fit in my hand.

You underestimate the amount of padding and anti-static bags it takes to properly transport an implant.

Have you ever spent any time around a capsuler? Their heads are huge (mine included). Now you know why!

But in all seriousness, it's probably because transport of implants should be done in a ship that doesn't escape pursuit easily without serious funds behind it (a blockade runner sure, a 30k isk shuttle notsomuch).

Edit: Not to imply that 1m3 would make transporting them difficult for other cheap ships. It's just more reasonable to exclude a shuttle from the list of viable transports.

When I saw the topic first thing I thought is that it's probably because they put it in a padded box.

I doubt they treat these multi million dollar items the same way I treat a pack of smokes and just throw it on the floor.

Everyone knows that 99% of everything we transport is bubble wrap.

Massive delays in the transport of goods made designers implement an Autopilot Feature so we could go back an pop it and complete or courier contracts at the same time.

The Bubble Famine of YC 108 killed over 300 million people.

Because you definatly can't fit a full set of implants in a shuttle.

Are you suggesting all those implant makers are actually HP in disguise?

How about this lolRP excuse:

there is more to "hardwirings" and implants than just the stuff in your head. There is special equipment like cables and adapters that you have to have run between you and the capsule (maybe even stuff you have to install into the capsule itself).

That's because implants are kept nicely safe and wet while in transit, by storing them in the decapitated heads of your battle foes kept in specially sterilized ice boxes, right next to the beer.
