First, I'd like to say that CCP's decision to protect Goons from Wardecs makes sense. The death of a few Logi's sends Goons into hysterics and they send thousands of petitions about it to the GM's filling up the petition cue. So stopping anyone from being mean to them make sense from a customer service standpoint.

Now, as for Wardec's in general. People say "How do we determine the winner/loser? How does it end?"

I propose that Killmail losses be used in some manner to calculate the Winner/Loser. Also, that WarDec costs be doubled and if the defender "Wins" then half the pot goes to them. Indeed, perhaps the Defender could have the option to put money(up to a maximum amount per character in the corporation or the square root or x^2/3 of the number of characters) in the "War Dec" pot that the aggressor must either match or forfeit the pot. If the Attacker wins, they get half their money back and whatever the Defender put in.

The total Ships losses required for the Defender to win could be different than for the Attacker.

It should probably vary by corporation size. Perhaps square root of members or x^2/3 or something alone those lines.

Cargo may or may not be part of the Killboard, or may be reduced by some multiple before being added.

After the defender wins/loses they are immune to wardec by the deccing corp for a reasonable period of time. I'd say at least a month.

So, how do you think this could be put together?

Feel free to change/remove whatever you want to make it work.

Stopped reading there.

They don't need to send thousands of petitions. They can use the Batphone for it.
