Repackaging logged containers

Having secure / station containers everywhere is annoying as they're filling up my assets window as I travel from place to place. Not being able to repackage them when there are recent log entries I can see being useful for corps, but this is just me using my own container, every entry in the log since the day it was bought is me; please can I be allowed to trash it?

Don't touch them for 3 weeks. Then go back to the station they are in, repackage, and trash them. Trying to remotely trash them via the assets tab just adds another "log entry" which you have to wait out for another 3 weeks.

Also... I find them very useful in safeguarding rather expensive items just in case my account gets hacked.

What benefit do they have in that case? A log entry showing that "you" took the item out of your own container? I would have thought that if your account was hacked, then CCP's server-side logs would be the ones that are actually useful (I'm presuming that if they can trace items used to launder RMT'd ISK, then they could trace items that were removed from your hangar by an unusual IP address)

This could easily be improved immensely if a failed repackage attempt didn't add another entry.

When password protected the containers cannot be traded, trashed, or accessed. It's perfect if you're the paranoid type.

That does sound useful; how about a container can be repackaged if you're the only person who's used it (or it hasn't been used at all) *and* you know the password then? That seems to cover both cases :3
