Eve start up, black screen...nothing

I start up Eve, the screen goes black, the eve mouse shows up, and nothing happens.

Leaves like an imprint. I play through steam and if i shift tab to look at my messenger, when i turn it off it simply keeps it there in a faded form.

i have the same problem , though i dont play trough steam. i have it whit out steam.
though i get the "box" whit this expansion up and then ig goes black but whit the EvE mouse active, then it goes completely black, but whit the music playing, and no matter what i do i cant get the Blackest black screen to go away. Only thing i can do is turn the computer off.

i have tried to re-install the game to whit no change in the scenario above, i also tryed to change the screen resolution before opening the game but that did not help any either.

if any one know any thing about this please let me and OP know.
