Make Exhumers more functional

What I mean by this is that every ship in eve has the options to fit for high dps/efficiency, high tank, or high speed with several options so the players can actually build out the fits to optimize all or some of these.

My suggestion is to do the same with exhumers. Currently they have the option to fit for max yield, or they can fit for a mediocre tank that still makes them quite weak.

So, while there are players out there suggesting higher EHP for exhumers i'm suggesting something similar, but without actually changing the EHP or yield of the ship, but instead allowing for the ship to be fitted better.

So this would require that the cpu, power, and cap to be increased a good amount and possibly giving them more mid/low slots.

While exhumers are a medium class ship they are unable to fit modules that are typically found on medium class ships. They can't fit 10mn micro warps or even 10mn afterburners. They can't fit medium shield boosters, and they can't fit large shield extenders, but yet they're required to use medium rigs and have the sig res of a cruiser.

So again, my suggestion is to actually make these ships fit in the cruiser sized catagory in fitting capability as well.

The only thing i could suggest is to add two slots to the hulk, BUT, reduce the effectiveness of mining laser upgrades so that it would take 4 to equal the value of 2 at current stats. You would also need to reduce the fitting requirements on these modules to reflect this as well, but it would open up the low slots for a bit more in fitting options such as warp core stabs, inertia stabs, etc. etc.

Now, with the increased fitting capabilities of exhumers they would have much more functionality in how they could and couldn't be fit. They would be more like every other ship in game and would be able to fit a better tank than they currently can and would also be able to fit for better speed and agility, or survivability while at the same time never receiving any more yield than they currently have.

Exhumer pilots would have several options on how they fit like
Mod speed, mod tank, mod yield
high speed, low tank, low yield
low speed, high tank, low yield
low speed, mod tank, mod yield
low speed, low tank, high yield.
etc.
etc.
etc.

Like every other ship in Eve that players would actually be able to decide how they fitted their ship and it would actually make a difference. If they were given cruiser classed fitting capability than the pilots themselves would have the choice to fit for tank and actually be fitting a tank that might actually do something at turning gankers off, but those who are willing to risk not having a tank so that they can have better yield would be able to but without getting any better yield than they currently do.

There are also players out there who would probably like to be able to fit them for speed with warp stability or whatever and they would be able to do so, and with 2 added low slots they would have much more options in fitting but the reduction in effectiveness of mining laser upgrades and ice harvester upgrades would ensure that reguardless of how they fit their yield never exceeds what it can currently be.

Refactor all the barges/exhumers as hull tankers, swap a mid out for a low where possible, cut shield HP in half, double hull HP, and give exhumers a bonus to hull repper cycle time that replaces their shield resist bonus.

That puts yield, cargo cap, and tank (buffer) all in the low slots so that players can choose the balance they want for their situation.

All very sandboxy :)

Uhh, ok....

Using a hull tank would still give them a very limited tank seeing as how there's only one resistance module for it and hull reps suck.....well completely pretty much.
