Given that the silent majority of the game, namely high sec players, don't follow the forums, this thread is pointless.
But I feel like Don Quixote tonight, and am indeed mad as hell.

CCP acknowledges through their own numbers that slightly over 70% of all players in game are high sec.
Yet we have essentially one person, Kelduum from E-UNI who is ostensibly high sec, and E-UNI is actually migrating a lot of players to null sec.

In any case, since the the null sec zealots have realized the past couple years what a powerful meta-game tool the CSM is, they have done everything they can to control it and bend CCP to their will.

If high sec players want any control over their game, they have to become organized, and form a strong voting bloc.
Consider:

There are 400,000 paid accounts on TQ.
That is approx 1 million chars.

goons and test, the 2 largest alliances in the game, add up to 14,000 chars.
That is 1.4 percent of the entire game base.
Assume they all have 3 accounts.
That makes it a whopping 4.2%, yet they with their control of the game and the direction of the game is far, far more than the demographics show.

If even 10% of high sec players were actually engaged in the political process, we could dominate the CSM, and start pushing back at all the attacks by the null sec zealot group in game and within CCP.

We need to stat organizing now, for the next CSM.

But who am I kidding. It won't happen. High sec players will just quit once all the changes coming down the pipe are implemented. Heck, I will likely have packed it in myself, rather than waste my time fighting lost battles in and out of game.

High sec players, consider this a warning for you: Organize now. The next CSM may be your last chance to save high sec in some playable format.

Yup. Read Soundwaves little stinkbomb on "Inferno and Datacores" Page 7 in GD about moving T2 towards Low and Null (yes, another Goon ISK River like POCO's).

Me and 3 accounts are out of here after 2 1/2 years if that happens.

Mad? Im not mad, I merely have a demon, perched upon my shoulder who tells me of things you know not, oh the things he tells me that you SHOULD know, but I know not these things for I ignore his whisperings for he is evil and tells me things I should not know, things I wish not TO know. I tell him to shut up but he never listens to me. The whispering could drive one mad. Mad? Im not mad...

I was mad once then I listened to the soothing crooning of the voices in my head.

And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, oooh, the sky is the limit.

Love that btw, no conflict of interest there AT ALL

Its funny, I actually sat down and watched the TTH interview till the part where Soundwave was all but drooling over the possibility of destroying the T2 market
and I came away with the feeling that he sounds a lot like a Goon.

((Is it bad when the guy RPing as a Malkavian calls you insane?))

Insanity is not fun. However if you ever find yourself on the precipice of sanity and insanity, looking down into that great, gaping maw of madness that awaits below, get a running start and make as big a splash as you can.
What?

My Ally Leader and I have been discussing this for quite some time.

A covert GoonAltDevTeam steering game development this way for a few years. But it sounds so tinfoil hat it's almost embarrassing to bring up. That's a GREAT way for them to hide.

Dev PvP ????? Shocked

One of the few options I can envision is a meta-game high-sec alliance along the same lines as former Norther Coalition, but based mostly on passing information.
One that has its own web site, where all spies and null zec zealots can be kept out. (not kept out, impossible, but their posts wiped out)

Information can be freely passed, and organization for a serious run at putting multiple candidates on the next CSM.
10% of high sec = 7% of all players, which is more that goons/test combined.

An ingame alliance is far too lush a target for the major power blocs.

But like I said, apathy would kill this.
Most would rather quit the game than fight for it using the same meta-game tools the null sec power blocs do.

I think most of the best leaders in EVE are going to gravitate towards more challenging situations, which generally speaking, isn't High Sec. You do have Kelduum however, which is a good thing, and while I don't know the process for contacting CSM members on game issues I'm confident that he would listen.

Evil It seems impossible to break goons control, but if you could manage to get a big enough carebear alliance going, more power to ya, i used to love high sec, but found the need to get mean, and stopping being nice.

I voted for Kelduum in the last CSM, because I felt he was the last chance for high sec to be heard.
I know Kelduum, and he knows me.
There is not much love lost between us, unfortunately.

Kelduum is a very political animal, and definitely does what is in the best interest of his goals and the UNI.
Based on the UNI's current focus on playing in null, I doubt his thoughts are on high sec presently.

I have come full circle. I started as most do in high sec, then moved out into low, then null, then a long tour of duty in wormholes, then null again, and now back to high sec.

Though the adrenaline rush of wh combat is so incredibly cool, and I loved the closeknit community in our wormhole group, I HATED the tedium of null sec CTA's, and the politics was the 2nd last nail in the coffin.

Changes in RL that limited my game time down to a paltry 15-25 hours a week was the final nail, and back to high sec I went.

yes YES!!! Buff High sec, ensure the next CSM voted in has ZERO chance of anyone from 0.0 voting for you.

CSM is a bad joke, Kneejerk reaction to drama that went wrong and is not festering in CCP's basement

Greetings capsuleer,

That is incorrect.

There are currently 70% of all pilots in high security systems. These may be capsuleers watching different market hubs or those flying trade routes to and from the secure to less secure systems or otherwise.

A better metric would be to discover where their handlers reside predominantly, but this information has not been released as of yet.
