Bumping with some advice -

*** Short survival guide for New Players ***
****************in 0.4 or less****************

1. Do not check local at any time.
2. Space is yours, you do not need to know the area you will live.
3. Never use safe spots and do not ever align, its a lie that you warp faster.
4. Any neutral in local is a possible friend.
5. Warp stabs are waste of slots, fit anythin else.
6. If u shoot some1, and somehow u miss him, just logout, relax ur mind for 15 mins, then come back finish ur job.
*** copy this guide to your Bio to moderate Pirates presence in EVE.

Bumping with some experience -

I have friends on both sides of the war, but I still shoot those on the opposite side. We share common interests and therfor have a reason to chat instead of smacktalk each other (plus if I keep him typing, he may not see me red box him straight away lol).

Faction warfare is fun, and I'd happily invite you all to try it.

Bumping with something irrelevant -

I once knew a man with a dog that only had 3 legs.

I don't know any men with only 3 legs, let alone ones who have dogs.

I see faction warfare drawing attention for all the wrong reasons.

consider this instead -
its one of the best isk makers in this game
its pvp on tap, whenever you want it
make some awesome friends on either side of the battle lines
no sovereign battles and null sec politics
easy logistics (no need for jump freighters and such)

Why not to use safe spots?

I'd also add: 7. use D-Scan before you jump acceleration gate

Please explain how it is one of the best isk makers in the game. Do you get anything for running the plexes or is there something else available for faction warfare players to make money with?

id add number 7 if the short survival guide was meant to actually help. instead, it states the exact opposite of what you should do Lol

Doing faction warfare lvl 4 missions depending on your activity level can make you upwards of 200mil an hour. Casually, i can make enough lp in an hour to trade in for a navy scorpion, seriously going at it i can trade in for a navy raven every hour.

I'm really interested in FW. I have some questions.

What are the most commonly contested systems?

Are there friendly stations in contested space?

Could a mid-level Merlin w/ 3500 ehp take a frigate plex solo? Provided it stays PvE of course.

Does anyone have any references for Caldari players in contested space?

Thanks for the guide!

As Minmatar pilot I can only speak about Amarr Plexes. Since plexes are moving targets over the days I would not bother to stay in one system. Furthermore, enemy tend to move around so it is much more useful to roam yourself and search for a plex in a quiet place and just run if the enemy blob arrives. Here is a list of things you can do easily solo:

- Small Plexes: Can be done with any faction frigate easily, but very low income.
- Medium Plexes: Can be done easily with a nanoed faction cruiser. Since you are fast and agile no much risk of being caught at gates if fitted properly. Makes around 5 Mill per plex from tags alone. Caldari Navy Caracal works great for this job!
- Large Plexes: Can be done savely with a cloaky T3. You can use a BC too, but then you might get caught at gates. Makes easily more then 10 Mill per plex from tags alone, even if you don't finish it completely.
- Unrestricted Plexes: Haven't tried it yet solo. But much fun to do them in a small fleet.

Only thing that seems off to me in the original post is that the system scanner now goes up to 64 AU.

Damar knows his shizz in plexing. That much is for sure.

Gallente plexing sucks because of the jams from the squid rats. It's easier to do with 2 people because of this. Also, safer!!!

Get a stealth bomber (Ive found Manticore to be my favorite, but I have some friends who claim the Purifier) and blitz the missions.

Your not looking to loot or hang around, just blitz missions.

I use a dual box (dual monitor) approach. I have one in a manti, and another in a fast ship. fast ship speed tanks and manti kills the NPC who ends mission.

The LP rewards for the missions are pretty great and as was noted earlier you can trade in for whatever is hot at the moment to sell for iskies.

If you dont want to pay for two accounts some people use a 'less than legal' approach of buddy inviting an alt, keeping them in a frigate with overdrives or nanos. Since buddy invite gives your main a free month, its like having two accounts (for 51 days) for nothing. Rinse, repeat.
