Yes it's a target, Hulkageddon is the one time when an Orca isn't relatively safe in high sec. Normally if you tank them properly (AKA not for cargo capacity) and never move anything of value in the cargo hold they will be ignored by gankers who aren't just looking for lulz. This doesn't really change during hulkageddon save that there are a lot more people out ganking specifically for the lulz.

I hear Orcas can fit a mean tank and during these times you really should.

An orca can have a higher tank than a freighter. Just do what i plan on doing, follow your Orca with a basi :D im actually looking forward to moving my Orca with basi support to see if i die in a horrible fire or if i will survive!

It takes more than 10 seconds to plan a orca gank, especially if it has a tank which can run 200k++.

Keep moving, don't run on autopilot and unless you get really unlucky and fly into a larger suicide fleet anything that does attack you will be concorded before you go down.

An Orca can fit a tank that would make most battleships jealous. But I don't think you quite understand how suicide ganking works if you actually think your basi is going to save your Orca from a competent gank squad.

I do understand, im just assuming they dont get it right and dont all shoot at the exact same time, if like a few shoot and get me down and i get some reps off, then the rest shoot and i get some reps off i have a higher chance to survive.. Obviously if they all fire and shoot at me the exact same time doesnt matter how many basi's i have with me. If you watched Helicity Boson's gank squad taking out an orca recently you will know what i mean.

Not knowing is gunna be the fun part i mentioned earlier :D

"13 jumps with Hulkageddon going on, through 1 major trade hub in an orca!" Sounds like a you tube clip title... maybe i should record it and upload it when my tears start :p

According to Section 5, Paragraph 3, Subsection 430-A of the rules of Freighter space ship construction:

"Freighter class star ships are unable to fit any modules or rigs that will increase any attribute of the ship."

objection !!!!

orca isn't classed as a freighter and so can fit what tank it likes

freighters can't fit anything to my knowledge and so the tank is just raw HP.

I wasn't intending on posting anything of substance in this thread, but I figure it's worth a compromise to point out that you never know what you're talking about ever:

And add in a double invuln double shield extender loadout in the mids and that thing is built like a ******* tank.

It will still die though. Hulkageddon is purely for the lulz, not profit.
