I been screwign around on sisi with a few friends exploring the war dec mechanincs.

biggest thing we noticed was.

if your corp leaves an allaince you are still at war. HOW EVER if you leave that corp and join another or make another corp its automatically at war with teh original war deccing corp. .

this is going to annoy many many peeps.

so......

Say you live in a sizable and capable high sec pvp corp. Looking for wars....
You start a new corp with a "young" alt.
Do something to get decced by any other given corp in your 1 man corp... tip cans, wrecks, ninja, talk crap in local etc
Wait til they dec you.
Resign and join the main corp.
Main corp now at war with target corp... no wardec fee?

Right?

S

No, you'd have to start a "main alliance", and an alt alliance. Get a corp decced in one and you could move the dec over.

Individuals can still avoid war decs easily by dropping corp for the duration of the war. I also presume you can still just disband corp and instantly recreate it to shed war dec, could OP check that pleeeease? :D I don't have the band width to dl sisi here.

Not under the new system, individuals carry the wardec with them.

It'll be a high-sec pandemic. Too bad it won't transfer to NPC corps, that'd be epic.

Said it many times...

GTFO of highsec, problem solved.

Or deal with the ******* annoying problem and gank them. Screw your sec status.

Oh look, don't need to **** around with the wardec mechanics. You just need to HTFU and deal with highsec shenanigans that come with beind in highsec. But as usual, someone finds a way to play around with it and everyone gets all butthurt when suddenly they can't fire on them, typical human response to risk adversion when that CONCORD warning pops up. Wardecs in their new form would be better with a 250m start up fee and suddenly perm-locked to that corp full of targets with 24 notice to run...then you would have to see who is willing to pony up for their own entertainment.

So if I get this right.

11 Man corp war dec's an alt corp one person.

So 10 people from the 11 man corp then join 10 different alliances.
Does that mean there is now a 12 way war ???????

YOu could war dec ANY corporation or alliance in game for 20 Mill that way.

We won't whine about it. We'll gank them, of course.

Carebears need to calm down. If this change is instituted as part of the wardec overhaul, it would only affect a relatively small percentage of carebears. Why? Think about it--who joins a different corp as a result of being wardec'ed?

1. Carebears who dissolve and instantly re-form their exact same corporation, for the sole purpose of evading a wardec. (This was always classified as an exploit, until recently carebears got permission to do it for some reason.)

2. Carebears who dissolve and create a new corporation, for the sole purpose of evading a wardec. (Some carebears do this because they're not aware the of the rule change on the exploit.)

Theoretically it would also affect people who want to escape to a genuinely different corp during the week, but I can tell you that's very rare (who would accept an application from a someone like that?).

Carebears using a former exploit would now have the wardec carried over to their new corp. That's it. The change just closes a loophole, nothing more. Carebears who join NPC corps or stay docked for the week would be unaffected.

Right. But you could also just give the main corp a mercenary contract , set it to free, and get the same result.

Yeah, but they get a week of shooting at someone in an NPC corp when they try to hide there, so there is that.

Interesting, does the new corp get a pop up informing them of all the decs prior to allowing the person to join?

Ofc all that will really happen is the person will sit in a npc corp until the dec passes but it is interesting.

..or it'll become a new griefing mechanic: Join a new corp to automatically flag them for war.

I believe there is also a way to check the wars decs a individual is under at the moment. Any competent corps at least reads the applicants employment history, Checking active war decs isn't that hard as well

Why would we QQ? We just got made the defacto state for non pvp'ers. You don't have to wait a week if you were never in a player corp to begin with. Or are you referring to ganking, where nothing has changed?
