When will sec status get refunded?

I know CCP is getting ALOT of bug reports/petitions about the "Flashy Red Pod" issue. One of them was mine as I thought I was the only one affected. (a corp mate never got GCC'd for popping a pod). CCP were kind enough to reply to my bug report very quickly and told me to put in a reimbursement petition to get my sec refunded.

My question is, how long will this take before sec gets refunded? I have things I can do in losec/0.0 to keep me occupied until this happens but there are some of you that were hisec carebears that are now being forced into either staying docked or going to losec/0.0 where you have no experience and are getting killed.

CCP normally gets these issues out of the way very quickly if it affects people on a mass scale. They won't have much time until it starts affecting their wallets. I have already seen countless threads on this issue with people saying "I'mma quit this f***in' game over this" but NO-ONE has asked when it will get fixed.

Wait - you're bitching and moaning because you didn't read the indicator in your 'Selected Items' window indicating the sec-status of the pod pilot to be above -5.0, then clicked through the "IF YOU SHOOT THIS YOU WILL BE EXPLODED" window, and then subsequently exploded? You were an idiot and now you want to not have to pay for that mistake? Right....

As a side note, I agree the change was dumb and should be reversed. But the dumbasses who clicked through and shot the pods anyways should not receive a ship or sec status reimbursement.

If you go back a bit further you'll see that pilots weren't getting the warning due to the time sync bug, those are the pilots waiting for their promised sec status refund.

I received the warning once and I did not shoot that target. The second time, I just had the "You have engaged in foolish activity" notification dialogue with no CONCORD pop-up and went GCC. I did not disable any pop-up as you cannot suppress the CONCORD dialogue, so I have no idea why it never popped up the second time

Rules:

* You can freely kill a pod if the pilot is an outlaw (below -5 sec status)
* You can't kill a pod if the pilot just has a GCC. If you try, you'll get the non-suppressible "Are you sure? CONCORD will wtfpwn you if you do this" dialog

This has always been the case

Seriously, this issue was confirmed by a dev to be the result of two operations on the server not communicating the way they should.

In extension, that means those of you jerking off to the OP's plight are either trolling or illiterate, and your posts have too few typos in them for the latter to apply.

Then again, OP, if I were you, I'd think hard about whether the EO forums are the medium that will get you what you want the fastest. You're just making yourself a target here.

I know but I have not had a reply from CCP. I even resubmitted my bug report asking this question and they replied with the same "Thank you for reporting. We are already aware of this problem" BS. Its like they never even read my update.

I like feeding the trolls. It shows me how many people cannot read let alone write properly. Maybe they should jack in EvE and go for some games they might understand. ie: www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebiesBig smile

I think it's going to take CCP awhile to sift through every single one of the petitions and grade who is being a lying F-head about their sec status.

Aside from Harassment and Immediate gameplay issues [ stuck mission ], I would expect a week+ before you get a response.. Probably longer because they are getting flooded with petitions for replacing ships/sec status because of that bug..

Just sit back, relax, and wait :) They will get to you :)

I think a big part of the issue is that the "pilot is an outlaw" overview category is no longer accurate. It now includes pilots who are outlaws (ok to pod without concord/sec status hit), as well as pilots who are not outlaws, but have GCC (podding will get you concorded and you will take a 30% sec status hit in jita.)

You should get a popup but the situation is a little confusing now that they have changed the "pilot is an outlaw" status to include anyone with GCC.

Wait.. I was always under the impression that if the pod was red (flashy or otherwise) it was fair game... Now granted I've been gone for a while and just recently came back.... but did something change?

If so would someone be kind enough to link where this change is listed, because my initial search isn't showing me anything (and two subsequent searches show nothing as well.).

I won't say you are stupid, but you're not exactly on the Zombie menu either.

Ahhh that would be the change they made. Seems like they didn't think things through (as usual) when they made this change.

Welp, they have 5 hours and 45 minutes to do a hot fix. Lol

Normally someone with GCC will show up as red. What changed with Escalation was that we removed a special case in the UI that suppressed this red if they had GCC AND were in a pod. Now someone with GCC will always show up as red, regardless of their ship. However you will stil get punished if you kill a GCC pod BUT only if you click 'Yes' to the CONCORD question.

I do agree this can be a little confusing, and we're looking at adjusting it a little based on feedback such as this.

I lost 8 sec status points just hanging out in an adjacent system trying to get in!

Yeah I saw that. I just hope from all the "Feedback" they had, they change it back to the way it was before. If I cant shoot it in highsec, I don't want it looking like I can
