I have no problems with patching process, neither on windows nor on linux (crashes on linux, but it's a different issue).
Am I doing it wrong? Smile

It's almost sure your fault, guys, if some glitches come up; I think you just have damaged your client, or maybe some files in system Documents folder.

Everyone's game running environment is different.
It means nothing while you have no problem but others suffered a lot.

The only thing I did is restarted the client.
And I have another computer to work, the only programme in my gaming computer is Eve Online.

Hmm...

Clear ALL files in "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\c_games_eve_tranquility\" except for settings folder (or backup settings folder) and run launcher.

After patching - restore settings folder. At my homestation it fixed regular launcher crushing... but it is and alternative way...

And where're the latest patches?

If this game didn't have the option to pay through PLEX I'd have quit long ago. Love the game, hate you CCP.

Edit: epic patch, updater.exe isn't a valid win 32 application.

Fire the people who create these patches and hire baboons, can't possibly make worse patches.

Alright guys, I'll do GM's job:

1) Click this link to download the new patch (365966): http://cdn1.eveonline.com/365966/EVE_Online_365434-365966_win.zip

2) Unzip the file, save it on your Desktop (whatever works for you)

3) Open the Launcher and click the Setting icon (upper right hand corner), select Patches>Import>Select the patch you just downloaded, click open and then OK; it will update automatically.

4) For future manual patching (better not be the case), do the following: Copy and Paste the above link in your browser, then replace patch numbers: http://cdn1.eveonline.com/xxxxxx/EVE_Online_xxxxxx-xxxxxx_win.zip

Idea Notice that each set of X's corresponds to a patch number. First set refers to a new patch # (in this case 365966), second one refers to an old patch # (365434), and last # once again refers to a new patch # (365966). I must mention however, that you must wait about 2-3 hours after the maintenance period to perform this operation, otherwise you will get a blank page (no zip file); I guess because it takes CCP a while to make the patch available for "manual" downloading and installation.

I hope this helps, good luck!

Try going to: CCP>EVE>Launcher>Cache there you should see a file called "Updater," if you run it, it should download and install a new version of the launcher. If not try this link: http://content.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/launcherInstaller/launcher_installer_TQ_131.exe

I never had any problems with the launcher or with my client until this latest patch. Here's what happened:

The launcher kept crashing before fully downloading the patch.
I came here and found instructions for manually applying the patch. After following the instructions, the launcher would say it was ready and I would click "play". It flashes the Inferno screen and then crashes.
I ran the repair tool several times but each time it keeps trying to go through the seven steps and eventually gives me a "failed" message and I think it said something like "too many tries."
I disabled my ESET antivirus and firewall protection as someone else said they did here successfully. I tried to run the launcher but it crashed. I ran the repair tool again, but had the same situation as before. I now have not been able to play the game for more than two straight days. I'm continuing to read this thread, but please advise a course of action.

Anyone have any ideas why the launcher won't even launch?

As before, I can't get the launcher to run.
I don't think the game patch itself is the problem. I think it's the launcher.
Thus providing alternative way to patch the game won't help us...
You should better provide us the alternative way to patch the launcher instead.
And right now I can't find one that newer than 1.31.

Thank you, but I need the one like this:
Installer

I don't know why. Your updater won't work on my platform.

Ok I've got the link to the installer now:
