Why the lines CCP?

In what way are these lines superior to the old text labels? Did that many people really have trouble reading the words? The rest of the patch is great but why did you decide to change this. Not only are the lines ugly looking and overlapping other parts of the UI, to me it's less clear.

They should just change the hud into a horizontal design. screw this circular stuff. Everywhere else in the game shield/armor/hull is a flat horizontal interface. Why must your personal interface be circular. it just takes up more space.

I like it. Obviously they had to move it to make room for the new e-war bar.

After a few days you probably wont notice the lines any more.

I'd be fine if it was just the numbers without the lines, but the way the lines overlap with everything, it makes it look like the readout was a hasty afterthought added in 5 seconds.

I kinda agree with you about the afterthought thing. People know what the numbers refer to, so the lines don't really need to be there. I really just like the position of the readout text. Though they would probably realise that some people would have a problem with it.

I think one of the things that justifies the current format is for the sake of being minimalist. Removing the text labels makes for less text clutter and leaves you with just the raw numbers you care about. The lines were added for clarity so that people can tell which number goes where.

While it isn't the best solution as far as clarity goes it is one that works for now. I think I agree with the horizontal thing. But would UI devs to go so far as to change something so radical as changing the HUD from a circle to a rectangle? If they do, they GOTTA do it right and do it in a beta fashion like they did with the contract system.

CCP changed something, and someone has a problem with it?

Is that how it looks now?
~Meh.
I preferred it with text labels. It looked neater, and was easier to read quickly. Also, things overlapping the main visual readout is just silly.
