Hi all,

I love forums. I use them every day. I've racked up probably 100,000 posts across my regular ones I post on. What I'm trying to say is that I'm not new to the concept of forums.

This forum, though, is pickling my brain. I just don't get it.

Where's the "latest posts across all subforums" button?

More importantly, where's the "view threads that I've posted on previously" button?

What does the "favourites" button do, (cos the page is empty on my screen)?

How do you type in colours other than the default?

How do you post images?

Why is this place so convoluted compared to other forums? To keep out the riff-raff? (cue someone saying yes, to keep out people like me).

CCP wants us to use external forums, so they can put more resources on other game development rather than wasting time babysitting us.

2. Ah, I can get that one. Click "Profile" at the top. Select "Latest Forum Posts". Advanced takes you to a search.
3. No idea! There's a Favourites button? What does it do?
4. Rainbows? I don't think it does other colours. Nope.
5. It doesn't do images anymore either.


The big question though is why it is so convoluted? CCP rewrote it to make it more like EVE. Test of fortitude and all that.

What I wanted to know about this Forums is, what it does when you get a new session.. It takes up to 10 Seconds to finally get into the forums. After that long wait the forum is pretty fast. I guess a software loadbalancer is rolling a dice or something. However it takes to long!

There is a lot to these forums that are lacking. vBulletin boards are by far the best out there with the most options and the most sensible layout. Unfortunately...our own EVE forums are a far cry from being as good as any vBulletin board.

I've just worked out the favourites page...

At the top of each thread there's a "Tag as favourite" button. If you press it, the thread will then appear in Favourites.
