I also started getting frequent random disconnects about a week ago. Also IINET provider, Australia.

Same **** Different Day it seems.

Only solution i have had that works is buying a VPN account and connecting through that or using battleping.

First accounts are starting to run out of time and i won't resub them until this is fixed.

Nothing to do with multi boxing, I don't run multiple clients. I have in the past but never had this issue anyway. When I play EVE sometimes I have TS going or and external browser, these remain fine when EVE discos.
And TS or the external browser is not the culprit because I get these discos regardless. Had 3 this morning, one within the first hour and then 2 within the the next 30mins.

Actually discussing things with iiNet as I'm typing this. Hopefully something is worked out.

Update:
I gave all the information that I have to iiNet... They did what they needed to do and told me that the dropout occurs well outside their network.
So from the tracerts that iiNet has done and from what we have done, it's obvious that this issue is not on the iiNet end nor is it our responsibility.
The tracer route hops well outside iiNets network before it hangs and drops out. This would be that infamous ping of 2010 for me which is 204.245.39.42. Global Crossing(Level 3).

So I've done what CCP have wanted me to do as per my petition response... What next!?
Maybe a Blue Name will tell me.

I enjoy EVE but this is not the experience I really want to pay for nor do I appreciate the non response from CCP Devs on this.

Here we go again, I can't stay connected. I keep getting socket closed errors when trying to reconnect and when I finally do, I get booted again within a few minutes. Been on all night with no problems and this started about an hour ago.

Game is now unplayable for me.

I quad box, I get random client disconnecting every 15 minutes or so.

I've never had this problem before, am located in Australia.

I can no longer play Eve, endlessly at risk of loosing stuff.

Cancelling subscriptions now.

Please resolve.

Disco again tonight, almost lost a ship doing L4 Securities. Had ping and pingplotter going, screenie taken right after the first one. Had a total of 2 within an hour and a half.

That's 15.13% packet loss... Starting at... You guessed it 204.245.39.42 Global Crossing - A.K.A Level 3

Just for giggles... Has anyone else called iiNet?

It seems like lots of the players posting here are from Australia. I have to state that I'm having the same problem and I'm connecting from Finland.

Also with regards to it been an Australian problem, why is it only EVE, and EVE sites becoming unresponsive, while the rest of the interwebs works fine. Also a number of people from other countries like Ueberlisk have said they are having the same/similar issue.

It’s not like our ISP's are failing, as the internet is still functioning it something specific. But knowing a very little bit about how the internets works, this type of problem is really bull **** hard to troubleshoot.

However I would really like CCP to say something else on the matter, it’s been over a week. Just so we know we are not talking to a brick wall.

Same issue here but it happens immediately upon entering the world. It usually just shows a black screen before dropping to Login screen, but on some attempts I can see my ship in the hangar for ~5 seconds before dropping.

I'm in the UK with BT Internet.

Hi people
I am getting the same problem with the disconnects, as far as my research is concerned I've pinpointed a server in the US 204.245.39.38 is owned by Level-3
I am with iinet in Australia they can't do anything. If everyone getting this issue hassle this company perhaps we might get some results.
to check if you're getting the problem with the same server try running Pinplotter whilst running the game using the Tranquility server as the destination address (87.237.38.200)
