Drone UI

i have to imagine this has been said already but i red about 20 pages and didnt see it with some of the other drone UI suggestions so.

Please can we get some indication of when our drones are being targeted/shot. when your solo it is easy enough to see when your ship doesn't have all the agro but when in fleet there is no way to be sure if they are being targeted shot at until they take dmg

Add Contact window... the 2 options for adding to watch list or notifying the person have the tiniest little checkboxes known to man, and you can activate them by clicking various parts of the words to the right of them, but it's very hit or miss if you will actually be able to click the right places. Whether you opt for the tiny checkbox, or trying to click the words, It's just pretty horrible. And while we're at it, a way to mass-remove people from your watch list would be nice. It seems you can mass-change standing, but you don't get the watch list option in that window. Inconsistent.

Most annoying thing of the week: You failed to dock/jump because you are cloaked (in your Deep Space Transport).

Make it so when you right click in space and go to select a stargate to jump to -- the stargate that is next on your autopilot route will show up as yellow just as it does on the overiew.

Dragable system names in mission descriptions would be pretty sweet. :)

In Escalation blog was described new UI changes. I thought that some of the additions are more like things there should be by design instead of by users wished this and that. If there are obvious usability issues, then those should be fixed just because they are obvious usability issues, not wait until people ask them to be fixed.

Then there was said that in order to get your orders to show as blue in the market details list, another fetch of data would be needed. Well can't you just add one more field to the first fetch? It sounds like you have two functions, other loads market details and the other loads your orders, and you can't change either, because you are the UI developer and you can't ask favors from the server side developer, so you use the second function but in a way that doesn't create one more trip to the server. Am I right or what?

I don't like that advanced selling has day as default, because it seems that I have to change it to immediate if I switch back to simple mode. Maybe I don't have to change it to immediate, but how could it be made more clear that simple is always immediate? Maybe add text to it?

I don't like that in Neocom toolbar I can't remove chat-button. It is my toolbar while I play, not yours, so allow me to get rid of the chat button too. I really hate when I am being held by the hand when I don't need it.

Also I don't like that the buttons flash indefinetely until I move mouse cursor over them. If the button has flashed for an hour, I really have already got the message that something happened. I want to at least set some time delay for example flash for 15 secs. Also the flashes are pretty useless, because they tell me most of the time things like "You bought something. Guess what? Something has happened in your wallet."

I would like to get item category path to the show info -window. That way I wouldn't have to load market details to check the path.

I would like to have undo-feature in text boxes. And as the api is so important part of the game, it should be easier to find and use. Where is customizable API generation? I found one with Google, but the page doesn't say are the features limited or full.

Oh and sometimes salvager or tractor beam sound effect jams so that I still hear it at the station. And often in mission music stops altogether. I have to manually open juke box and start a song again.

Also why the preview of this message just clears the form and I have to paste my message to it if I was wise enough to copy it before previewing? And the preview also adds a notification about a draft to the bottom of the text box, I can't see what I am writing as this is a long post that goes to the bottom...

+ Improvements to ingame Browser and Notepad could be nice too
+ is it possible to implement in next release DIGIT GROUPING for calculator? this is pretty easy to implement and very usefull if doing some ingame calculations

Change in the afterburner skill from duration to less cap use or speed increase.

I don't see a reason to train afterburner 5 - as it stands currently I'd rather have a shorter duration but more cap intensive AB cycle.

    Overview tab splitting would make me buy two monitors, great idea I would also like to see a button in the overview to show all items, since im currently using one of my five tabs to show all items.

    What the hell CCP? I ask for the littlest of things, easy to implement yet it needs to be done, and yet another devblog goes by and nothing.

    Show the frequency crystal damage in the info window (or in some other universally accessible location)! How many times do I have to ask for this SIMPLE change before it's done?

    Approval's been unanimous, all we need is for you to get your act together and actually do it.

    I want to be able to have one name change option per year or so. Because some of us, when first starting took a random name - which we regret later, but we don't exactly want to start a new character because of that. I don't see the problem by allowing atleast one namechange..
