Can be fitted to Black Ops, and Capital ships.

Prereqs: (They are intensive for a reason, you are about to potentially hack a non-fleet member's cyno)
1. Cynosural field theory: 5
2. Jump drive operation: 5
3. Jump drive Calibration: 5
4. Jump Portal Generation: 5
5. Jump drive fuel conservation: 5
6. Hacking: 5
7. All racial encryption methods: 5
8. Cyno Hacking skill (x14): 15% chance to land on same grid as fleet per level, and if on same grid 10% chance to land within 30km of cyno per level.

Concept:
The pod pilot has become so proficient with making jumps from system to system and hacking different races crypto in their career, they are able to to analyze a Cyno field from afar and utilize their experience and knowledge to piggy back the signal and jump into system with the non-aligned fleet. Their chance to land on grid is based completely off of calculation modified by their skills. Max skills will land on grid 75% of the time, and if on grid within 30km 50% of the time.

Restrictions:
1. Cannot be used to titan bridge, but can be used to covert bridge.
2. Cynosural hacking module and a conventional Cynosural field generator cannot be fit to the same Sub-Capital ship. (the detecting instruments of the hacking module are very sensitive, and would cause false readings if a cynosural field generator was fitted to the same ship without sufficient seperation.)

Uses:
1. Getting a scout element on grid and expand Black Ops and their covert fleets' roles in the game.
2. Getting an allied capital ship on grid to light a friendly cyno.
3. Pursuing a running capital fleet

Change to dynamics:
1. Committing Capital forces to a blind fight, with the potential for greater escalation.
2. Black Ops fleets could jump in sufficient bombers/recons to destroy capital fleets.

This is one of those "wouldn't it be cool if" ideas which got us into so many problems over the years. Jumping and bridging is already way too prevalent and we surely don't need MORE of that nonsense. Also it's too one sided, too easy and simply too OP.

Excellence is not a skill, it's an attitude.

Anyone have something to add identifying flaws with discussion points and counter arguments?

This sums up the idea nicely.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

You have any examples of these ideas that got us into so many problems over the years?

Titans and supercarriers come to mind.

Ugh... is the first thing i think of in response.

Do you recall the days when you could jump to any cyno in range? Similar to this but with a little more effort.
