CCP, why have you removed the ability to minimise chat requests?

Enquiring minds would like to know. What's the point to removing it - whereas before I could happily leave my 'friends' in limbo limbo land by minimising it, now I either have to 'hang up' on them (thus letting them know that I'm behind the wheel, so to speak) or, even worse, actually talk to them (ugh).

CCP - Please bring this awesome feature back (unless I missed somewhere in settings where this can be reverted)!


e: I know I can minimize the request to a bar and then drag it somewhere inconspicuous, but I'm still unhappy :(

So you have to either accept or reject it. That way you can't leave us hanging.

Another bugbear has just popped into my mind - the fact that ISD and god knows who else can just forcefully initiate a conversation with you, without your consent. Not cool in the slightest >:(

Those ISD's are real jerks too. They have been closing more threads these days than the Forum Admins ever did. And some of them for stupid reasons too.

I was actually thinking of a situation a few years ago when the DBANK thing was ongoing, and I posted something on the MD thread about it. A day later, some ISD member just opened up this convo (without my permission) and bombarded me with questions about the situation. I was rather annoyed at that, tbh.

If you get a second monitor you can move all those requests over to the other monitor, then take a screen shot . Upload the pic, link it in a evemail and send it to the person requesting the chat . Then they will know you care enough to actually recognize them, but you dont care enough to actively interact with them .You could even tell them in the mail you are a passive kinda guy/girl and dont like to do things interactively . Im sure they will understand.

Or people could deduce that he's not worth talking to, so not bother to contact him. But of course he'll still be unhappy as he'll have nothing to ignore.

I know! They closed my 'I need more threads to read' thread in 4 minutes! However someone posted 4 minutes after that so I dont know what happened there

I don't really see how that could be so, as a Macro would simply ignore a chat request in either case, surely?

You did consent to it.

ToS §1: “You may not abuse, harass or threaten another player or authorized representative of CCP, including customer service personnel and volunteers. This includes, but is not limited to: petitioning with false information in an attempt to gain from it or have someone else suffer from it; sending excessive e-mails, EVE-mails or petitions; obstructing CCP Employees from doing their jobs; refusal to follow the instructions of a CCP Employee; or implying favoritism by a CCP Employee.”

You can't reject their convos because you are not allowed to reject them.
