The bar is kind pointless atm i cant see by looking at the bar who is ewariing me. I have to look at the overview to see who is ewaring me. Is there going to be a way to see who is ewaring from the buff bar?

If you mouseover the icon you can see the name of the pilot(s) ewar-ing you. If you right click on the icons you can both see the names, and also access the context menu for that pilot

Would it be much work to make hotkeys like Ctrl-Leftclick (lock target) work on that icons?

And while you are at it, could you make other hotkeys than that for locking available for watchlist entries?
(orbit / approach / warpto...)

I really like the UI-team! You made my experience soo much smoother already!

I spoke to Karkur about this and she raised the point that if you have multiple pilots applying the same effect to you, which target is targeted by Ctrl-Click?

^ that....it seems so obvious to some of us players....but apparently it would be a dumb idea to target everyone e-waring you...

If there is one target, lock it. If there are multiple targets toggle a right click menu with the list and then allow ctrl+click on one player chosen one.

That is actually a very complex solution with a large potential to break I would think. For "target all the things", just set your Auto Target Back to 12 and you'll likely accomplish this without having to click anything!

repost

"Status Effects Panel Notification

Status effects - commonly known as buffs and debuffs - currently active on your ship will now display in a more visible and intuitive Notification Panel on your screen, similar to other mainstream MMOs."

I checked how it works and now shows only negative effect.
R sensor boosting, reping, cap transfers, and fleet bonus are not displayed.

what buffs effect are displayed and are they at all ?

If more than one person will be influenced us for example multiple scramblers, the panel will show the exact number ?

The notification area is very nice, and I think I'll find it useful after a brief readjustment period. However, I have one complaint: the icon that shows you are being warp scrambled (and thus cannot activate your MWD) is the same as that for being warp disrupted (and able to use MWD). Given their rather different effects, I think it would be helpful to have separate icons for these two forms of tackle.

Instead, design the multiple-sources as a +/- expandable item:
===
[EWAR] (Options include default collapsed or expanded, and sorting order by 'type', 'sources')
+ECM (Jammed) [2 sources] [Total ECM strength 8] << Collapsed list, no ctrl click
+Warp Scram [4 sources] [7 points] << Collapsed list, no ctrl click
-Turret Disruption [3 sources] [55% penalty] << Expanded list, no ctrl click
.....Bob [20%] << List item, ctrl click
.....Steve [20%] << List item, ctrl click
.....Mike [15%] << List item, ctrl click
Sensor Linking [30% bonus] Jack << Single list item, ctrl click
Target Painting [90% increase] Tony << Single list item, ctrl click
===

you should know that's a very bad idea...
maybe with a very easy way to activate / desactivate the auto target, but even, i don't think it would works...

The last ship triggering that effect? Plus, the list/icons could expand similar to overlapping brackets being expanded on mouse over?

Could it be possible to make a pop up of the ships that are applying the effects when you mouse over or click the icons so you can lock those then? or at least show in space visually which ones so you can then make targeting decisions.

Perhaps a different solution: Highlight or otherwise make more noticable which targets in your overview are applying the effect so they can be more easily identified.
