Any hope the Character Generator will be re-rezzed?

I don't know exactly when CCP reduced the character generator resolution, but does anyone know if there's any likelihood of it being turned back up with the new Escalation release, which is supposed to offer a "wider assortment of skin hues for a more diverse and realistic palette"?

I don't suppose very many people found the character generator an interesting toy, but I spent many hours playing Eve in this niche way, and generated dozens of interesting character portraits. I don't know when or why CCP de-rezzed the character generator, but surely it would be easy to restore its previous function... for those few of us who miss it?

YES PLEASE, turn the rez back up, maybe make it an option for those who cant handle higher, cause i love playing around with the character creator, heck, used to keep 2 open spots on my account just so i could go in and play with it.

Me too. Among my other niche Eve hobbies is tracking down cool names that aren't used. I have a long list, but I can't bring myself to use any of them, because it would fill up my trio of characters and then I couldn't make any more!

I haven't noticed any changes...


Then again, I can only go up to 1280x1024 (yeah, non-widescreen). So maybe I'm under the limit.

It is, alas, like night and day if you have some captured images from "the good old days".

Also, the color seems less intense... William's eyes were blue originally, but in the current character generator they show up as an almost colorless grey.

More skin tones is a good thing (though it plays hob with Amarrian racial purity), but if realism is part of the goal, nothing beats resolution.
