So, in the last week I have had two forum posts petitioned and removed with accompanying emails telling me I may be banned from posting.

Now I have been fairly vocal in the forum lately, not defending the man for what he did, he doesnt even defend himself, BUT I have been vocal about the fact it is a blatant war on here not because of what he did, but because of who he is.

THIS IS NOT WHAT THIS THREAD IS ABOUT, SO DONT START POSTING HERE ABOUT IT.

This thread is about moderation and reporting. I dont believe I have posted anything offensive, nor trolling, nor inflamatory but people are reporting my posts and I believe it is to try and get me banned because I am vocal about what I believe and it isnt what they believe.

For instance one removal was for trolling, it was in the thread about Eve, Dust and WoD, teh OP said that WoD would become the WiS of Eve and my reply to that was that I vomited a little in my mouth.

This remark is used commonly and in many places, it reflects my thoughts on WoD being what WiS will be about. I dont think it was trolling, or inflamatory, rude or offensive. The other post removed and reported didnt even tell me what it was, but I dont post trolls or offensive remarks so I dont know what it was. How many of my posts are being reported to try and get me a ban if two have been picked up, possibly for using such aweful words as vomit? I dont think the post warranted being reported.

I do however believe it is people reporting to try and get the people who dont agree with them banned form the forums. Maybe bringing this up will get me banned I dont know. I have never in 5 years had a forum post reported before this incident. If this is going to be the future of the forums, getting people who disagree with you banned then something needs to be looked at seriously.

I'm a rude, insulting ******* who curses in every other sentence. What did you have to say to get in trouble on the Eve forum? Must have been pretty bad whatever it was.

I said vomit.

I really doubt that's the whole story.

I am the one behind this.

Send me a trillion isk until the end of the day or I will use my army of forum pvp'ers to ban you forever.

~the future of the forums~ has arrived. That is all.

I think it's kind of sad that people are petitioning forum posts in this manner, I've posted in several recent threads the OP has posted in and not been offended by their posts.

I've paraphrased this quote before in recent posts, here it is in original form

Thats exactly how I feel. I enjoy teh too and frowing of forum warrioring. There have been some very provocative forum threads that have raised alot of tempers, but I would never resort to trying to silence people by trying to get them banned simply because their opinion is not the same as mine.

How you feel is imaterial. The rules are laid out by CCP and by posting you agree to follow them, if you are reported and found to have broken them you get punished. Pretty simple really.

Now for this sort of thing to be the way you have laid it out you would also require those investigating it and dealing out the relelvant punishments if needed to also be "personally" against you. That is stretching it a bit in to the realm of "Once upon a time....".

It's the whole move towards the ISD monitoring the forums, I suspect. I, too, vomit a little in my mouth when I think how volunteers, rather than paid professionals, are patrolling these boards.
