Most players I know refer to killing the ingame character as "Did they pod you?" or "I got podded" or "Go pod yourself". New players usually say "I got killed" or "I'm gonna kill em" when their ship gets blown up which usually gets a response, "Were you podded?" or "You gonna pod em?". Then an explanation ensues describing how ships get blown up and avatars get podded which is terminology they quickly start using.

I believe that says more about the behavior such a mob has presented so far than of myself, though. Unfortunately experience shows that mobs who use verbal bullying excessively will also resort to physical violence if provoked enough.

Its just becoming more clear that the HATs thing isnt accurate.

That there is a lot less distance between whom the mittani and alex are fundamentally.

Video of course has been pulled but it was pretty clear that the on stage performance was most likely the real Alex. Not him being the mittani.

You do know you can use the term DESTRUCTION OF EVIDENCE outside of legal reasons or investigation or a crime.

It literally was destruction of evidence showing his behavior and character as a person. It doesn't only apply to legal usage.

Well.

I do not like people telling other people to go kill themselves at parties, at a gym, in a bus, on IRC, on Google+, on the streets. Does that mean I take parties, gyms, buses, IRC, G+ and streets "too seriously"? Why would a videogame environment be any different than any of the other places? It is, after all, just like you like to say, "just a game". It is just a thing I do in my life, for my pastime. Why would I not want the same standards of behavior from random strangers in it that I want in other pastimes?

Let me counter this: what makes this game so serious for you that you think it should be the exception to normal standards of behavior between adults? If it is "just a game", should we all not behave like we were, well, just playing a game, instead of making serious business about offending as many people as possible?

By your definition, anybody who ever deletes an internet video has destroyed evidence.

That means that anybody who's ever deleted an internet video is also obviouly more damned than they were before the internet videos were deleted.

Not gonna answer this stuff otherwise, but if you actually bothered to read what I have been writing, you will notice that my words to Mittani were "apology accepted" and that I have repeatedly stated that I wish people'd leave him alone already and concentrate on talking what the rest of us should learn from this. I have also repeatedly said that I have no issue with the goon playstyle (such as blowing up mining ships and wanting to cause havoc in Jita), only with how it is spoken of.

EDITed to add: When I wish people'd leave him alone already in these threads, that includes you. There was absolutely no reason to drag him up in a response to me when the discussion had already moved on and I did not talk about him at all. Your problem is that you are so convinced to see the whole discussion in terms of pro- and anti-your-glorious-leader that you have put me into one of your imaginary camps of war and totally miss my actual point.

Now run along and play killing people, while abjectly hating people who kill people in a game because what you do in game actively represents what you do and are in real life. Am I right?

In real life I am an evil ruthless spaceship captain overseeing the deaths of thousands daily. Its great fun but for relaxation when I get home at night I often play a spaceship captain who oversees the deaths of thousands. I am a sociopath because in a game I like to kill people. Thousands of them. I kill them and I am glad they died.

I also occasionally play call of duty online, I dont really talk on comms on these games but I love to listen to all the people screaming "Die you c**ksuck*r, Jes*s Fu** I hate all you *****t ni**ers go and kill yourself!" I then phone the police and report all the players for inciting someone to suicide as well as racism and discrimination against peoples sexuality.

By contrast Eve players are quite polite. This is an observation on the gaming world, neither a justification for anyones actions nor an angry retort, simply observation.

Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing.
