Just wanted to say congratulations to everyone involved on your victory against cyber-bullying by the Mittani, by Cyber-bullying the Mittani.

Thanks for ruining the great atmosphere that the fanfest created by making this incident the single and only thing it will now be remembered for. I really relish the sour taste that has been left behind, and am pleased this issue has been escalated to such a ridiculous level.

You've done an amazing job, please pat yourselves on the back.

There is good going to come from this. The game itself has a new political landscape and the actions of the Goonswarm and what they and their foes do next is going to form part of the legend of EVE Online. It is going to be awesome for the active capsuleers.

I don't think people told him to kill himself or asked others to harass him into doing so. I don't think others went to any live panel to announce his name and promote people to harass him.

He said he was going to step down and people expected him to stick to his word. Tough **** that he actually had to man up, even though CCP had to step in at the end. He made the right choice.

He'd make a better one by asking his fellow guenies to respect CCP's decision and not act like complete dumbies in game or OOC. It's not really that hard to understand, but some people refuse to seperate the persona they have in game to the real issues of life and morale respect for our fellow man that we all deserve..

But whatever.. people will be people.. Real recognize real..

I think you should be thanking the Mittani for ruining it, he was the one who caused all this

It wasn't an issue until those with an agenda caught on to it. The Wiz didn't even watch fanfest - nor is he suicidal. What The Mittani said was in poor taste, but it was victimless in essence.

Wow! The Mitanni is more God-like than the GOONs like to make him appear. Apparently he has the power to cyberbully people when he isn't on the internet. That's pretty hardcore.

Watch_ Fred Fred Frederation_ and stop cryptozoologist! Fight against the brutal genocide of fictional creatures across New Eden! Is that a metaphor? Probably not, but the fru-fru- people will sure love it!

So, people contacting the media to try and smear him (and by proxy CCP) isn't in any way harassment? I've seen much worse directed AGAINST the Mittani on these very forums. It happens every day on these forums. The matter was dealt with, but people who want to hate a perfect stranger and had NOTHING to do with it wanted to force CCP to react on the matter.

So two people's game has been ruined. Nice one!

Why should he be allowed to tell a complete stranger to kill himself? and promote others to do so.. What type of power in the real world allows this dude to do anything of the sort..

Yes, theres Freedom of speach but theres also common decency, guess which one Mitanni forgot to pack?

Should we be talking about the active death threats to his dog, wife, other relatives and not to mention himself?
