Arg!Ugh

....

You sure things are on the table? Seems more like up in the air or under the couch. Talk like that gives me the feeling you are going to ditch it or make an abrupt closure (quite an effort from my side going in the bin in both cases) and move on to the Next Big Thing.

You have to understand, this particular project has a lot of history and high expectation attached to it. I don't want to say "yeah I'm doing it and I'm going to be the next Hilen and it's going to be awesome" because I can't promise that at this stage. Let me get caught up on the materials, sync up with the team, and then I will actually be in a place to talk specifics. I'm sure everyone in this thread would rather I made an informed decision and kept true to the initial spirit and quality of the project than jumped in with half-baked ideas and soured the memory of it.

Worm Space awaits your decisions....

There are more than a few of us interested in this, even though we don't/aren't hard core RP'ers... Finding stuff in W-Space is kewl.

GL to all.

That's all you need to know.

What?

Is there an actually going to be a meaningful live event happening at site one or is this just a place for role players to hand out?

It works both ways =) And you don't have to be a RPer to contribute! Leave your name in the history of EVE universe!

Those of us who actually live in W-space wouldn't say no to some kind of "live event" of our own sometime, and I don't mean just leaving an unpiloted covops lying around. W-space thrives on the unexpected. Surprise us.

If you need to poke any of the players involved with A'J with questions, I know many of us (Mark, Rhavas, Antiquarian, Grideris, myself, and a number of others) watch twitter and/or evemail, so feel free to chase us down. We'd love to be involved if possible, and we don't bite. (At least, not hard, anyway...) Big smile

Well, I have made you this Arek'Jaalan Project Overview a few days back that you can start out with. It also tells a lot about the current state of activity.

Wow, this is really cool. I've been trying to find more info about Live Events by just lurking the various channels, but this is a much easier jumping off point.

By the way, that public channel you linked does not exist anymore? Is there a different one for the A'J narrative?

Thanks, this is really cool.. I need to spend more time getting into this. Live Events were a huge reason why I loved UO so much :)

Glad to know that it peaked your interest! As for the channel, it should work.: Arek'Jaalan

If it still does not work, please let us know or contact Morwen Lagann. She is the Chief Archivist of the Arek'Jaalan Project.

That worked, I must've had an errant space in there somewhere.

Thanks, can't wait to dive into all the stuff on the wiki as well. =)

This is awesome! CCP I think this event was really cool but I had never heard of it until now. Can you promote events like this a little more in the future? Maybe a login splash image?

It is a banging experience, not for the "hardcore wizard hat" but just to take the time to catch up on the things ingame that were designed to peak interest years ago.

For example Sanctum Psychosis in Lanngisi, dates back to Jovian Times.

The Deltole Skeleton Comet (home to Serpentis Pirates and Drones) is crammed full of hacking and archaeology containers to grind about in, and can test most hulls in dps dished out.

Its all worthwhile in the long run if you are grinding L4's in Empire, take a break to scan and wonder about the ghost ships and ripped superstructures in the RADAR and Magnetometric sites. the Technology used in ships such as the Machariel, Vigilant, Vindicator all rely on technology found / developed by Pirates that relied on the RADAR and Magnetometric sites to learn a new scientific direction.

Even if you are the most Devout Sani Sabik / Blood Raider admirer you can still find nuance in the Takmahl Race.

Arek'Jaalan covers most topics that the Sleeper headline may have left you thinking it was strictly Sleeper, when its the majority of New Eden's History in one place.

I'd just like to re-iterate my support for Arek'Jaalan (and assure people that the Compass report IS COMING, I promise!). Welcome to Goliath and I'm delighted to see that CCP is not just leaving us out to wither away!

Yay, someone mentioned me!

Though as a reminder, I was the Australian with red hair at the Live Events round table. And if you need a hand, just ask.

I glad to see some movement here, but sad to see Dropbear gone. He put quite some effort into AJ.

Im also glad I held on to my W-Space samples. I was thinking of pushing Huntress I and Huntress II into the sun.
