Most real corporations have zero tolerance for this sort of bad publicity, It will be interesting to see what happens. But then again when they actively promote grief you should expect this sort of stuff. Personally i feel it went way way to far, you do not ever encourage someone to do something like that. Most of us are adults and know better. EVE has potential but they need to learn that catering to degenerate behaviour is detrimental to being in business. For every hard core pyp'er out there, there is at least 10 people that do not care for that type of game play. In the end, I think EVE has to share part of the blame.

That may be the case. After the things that you have seen, your opinions might have changed. That is by far and large, quite natural.

Not really, they have a LOT to carefuly consider and as someone else noted on the forums tempers on all sides are currently running very high. Expect CCP to take time before they reach a decision and make any announcement or take any action.

This is why what the Chair of the CSM said is a problem. I don't like Goons, but this is right in line with what they do. But it is NOT what the CSM should stand for.

EDIT: I'd just like to state my opinion in the matter has nothing to do with Goonswarm or how I feel about them. It's about the CSM.

WTF? I now watched the video and this is NOTHING. We're talking about someone giving an IN-GAME NAME of another player during a GAMING CONVENTION. I initially thought that there were real names involved and the 'victim' might have been subjected to possible real-life harassment.

I was expecting some nasty stuff, but seriously, this is a joke.

I think i've already pretty much forgiven him, although this 'apology' did nothing to help that. Any previous disgust i had towards his seemingly sociopathic traits is probably better understood as disgust for sociopaths in general. The guy (or goons for that matter) hasn't done anything to me personally, so i've no grudge.
