If that doesn't happen then CCP just pretty much stated that they suck dicks.
If you wrote a law that you don't follow yet you come with big words on fanfest how ******* much you care to make this game better then you're nothing but a bunch of hypocrites. all your bot wars, plex selling wars mean **** compared to this.
You let a guy publicly harras other person.

Is the bible the real life EULA of which you speak?

id like to know what iceladic law says about cyber bullying tbh...

You may not abuse, harass or threaten another player or authorized representative of CCP, including customer service personnel and volunteers. This includes, but is not limited to: petitioning with false information in an attempt to gain from it or have someone else suffer from it; sending excessive e-mails, EVE-mails or petitions; obstructing CCP Employees from doing their jobs; refusal to follow the instructions of a CCP Employee; or implying favoritism by a CCP Employee.

allready posted this once before come on guys read the EULA before you ask something

Strange, I looked at the EULA http://community.eveonline.com/pnp/eula.asp , but didn't find the part you're quoting.

its in the EULA by reference in this paragraph:

C. Compliance with Rules of Conduct
You agree to observe and abide by the Rules of Conduct as may be amended by CCP from time to time. The current version of the Rules of Conduct may be viewed at http://www.eveonline.com/pnp/terms.asp, and are incorporated in the EULA by reference.

"I want to reassure you that CCP in no way condones the harassment of players, especially those who suffer from depression or suicidal thoughts, as we understand the possible consequences of such abhorrent behaviour," CCP public relations and social media specialist Ned Coker said.

"Our Terms of Service (TOS), which can be found here, mirror our company's stance on this matter.

"While the content of online interactions between players cannot realistically be gated within our game worlds, we do take very seriously accusations of such behaviour between our players.

"Furthermore, we have a suicide hotline protocol which has, in specific cases, made a difference for several unfortunately troubled players. We appreciate you voicing your concerns on this level, and CCP will be very vigilant in monitoring any behaviour directed towards the individual named in the presentation.

"We are undertaking a full internal review of this panel as well as the process used for vetting the panel's materials. Even though this panel was billed as unfiltered by CCP, we expect public presentations to be courteous and professional towards others."

In other words
"We are commanding the Mitinni to post a public apology on the forums and then shut up for a few days while we hope this all blows over."

Deep in the ocean, dead and cast away
Where innocence is burned, in flames
A million mile from home, I'm walking ahead
I'm frozen to the bones, I am...

A soldier on my own, I don't know the way
I'm riding up the heights of shame
I'm waiting for the call, the hand on the chest
I'm ready for the fight, and fate

The sound of iron shots is stuck in my head,
The thunder of the drums dictates
The rhythm of the falls, the number of dead's
The rising of the horns, ahead

From the dawn of time to the end of days
I will have to run, away
I want to feel the pain and the bitter taste
Of the blood on my lips, again

This steady burst of snow is burning my hands,
I'm frozen to the bones, I am
A million mile from home, I'm walking away
I can't remind your eyes, your face

This reminds me of the time my wife made me to go some party with all her intolerable mouthed butt lard spinster friends from college. I did the only reasonable thing and got voraciously drunk so much so that even these horrible pizza dumpsters started to look attractive and I started suggesting threesomes. I came too with a furious wife and all her jealous perma-single friends jumping the bandwagon to have me resign from the relationship. I maintained that if she didn't want me to get shattered drunk and say rude stuff to her worthless friends she shouldn't have invited me in the first place, but alas the jury ran away with the case and divorced us before the judge had even entered the court.

It all worked out in the end. I found a new girl whose into threesomes with other games and the ex...well she's stuck sitting around with all her titan sized friends floating from bar to bar forever lonely.

Well CCP has taught me a valuable life lesson.

You'll get Permaband for botting however encouraging a player and inciting others IRL for someone to commit suicide is ok.

Well done CCP, well done. Something I can pass onto my children.

Yeah it is a very grey area. As for the miner, I suppose the offense would occur when one has knowledge of the potential victim's situation on a more personal level than say just a ship name. As for the alliance leader, I'm not sure the same argument can be made since the operative word is "them" not "him".

Mitanni, supposedly, specifically singled out a player focusing that attention like a magnifying glass in the hands of a child onto a ant while supposedly rebuking any concern for the individuals mentioned state while supposedly being informed of his mental state. So, IDK, there's a difference, isn't there?

The miner example is just one big rabbit hole isn't it? I mean if someone did have knowledge of a potential victims mental state would that then exempt that person from a legitimate game mechanic (the gank)? If I'm playing chess with some bloke on the net and he tells me in chat how suicidal he is, am I "cyber bullying" him when I take his queen?

As far as Mittens goes, yea I do think he crossed the line at the summit. But as with all grey areas, the other side of the line is not all one color. Calling out individuals has been a part of the 0.0 metta game for a long time. I would hate to see that go, just because of the political opportunism of the goons enemies and drama queens. Something about a baby and bath water goes here. As long as his apology is accepted by the offended party, then I just think its best for EVE, and the EVe community as a whole to let this go. Say we now know where the line is, and move on.

All you "Cyberbullying" ninnies, get your terminology strait.

From http://www.stopcyberbullying.org/what_is_cyberbullying_exactly.html :

"Cyberbullying" is when a child, preteen or teen is tormented, threatened, harassed, humiliated, embarrassed or otherwise targeted by another child, preteen or teen using the Internet, interactive and digital technologies or mobile phones. It has to have a minor on both sides, or at least have been instigated by a minor against another minor. Once adults become involved, it is plain and simple cyber-harassment or cyberstalking. Adult cyber-harassment or cyberstalking is NEVER called cyberbullying.

These are grown-ass men. It's not cyberbullying.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

Indeed, thanks.

Is EULA applicable to out-of-game interactions?

Personal opinion, a fair bit. He still knows more about the game than most anybody else in eve. Still represents one of the largest mobile nullsec alliances around with the most diverse activity. I doubt he will get the VIP access however. He will still forum, mail with CSM and regardless of antics, his opinions still will hold weight.

Arguement was held earlier. If you want to take legal terminology, then it was inciting to commit bodily harm/sucide, etc which is a criminal offense in many countries. Cyberbullying from a legal standpoint is a downplay if terminology is going to be brought in. Also cyberstalking/harassment is also considered a more serious and already many places have legal systems for such in place.
