You decided that I'm a Goon alt just because of the opinions I have stated on the subject in hand and despite my corporate history, which in no way indicates I'm being anyone's alt, let alone Goon's. This way you clearly demonstrated that you cannot comprehend non-pollitically motivated opinions, hence we can come to the conclusion that all you wrote on this topic is motivated by Mittens being your in-game enemy, rather than being based on any notion of morals and decency, thus can be safely ignored.[/quote]

I refuse to keep arguing with a fool. Simply put try and follow along, have you even read the comments on the gamming sites?Most of them are bad for Eve. I do not care that he is my in-game enemy I care that he makes us all look like @zzhats. Try and see thru your in-game motivations and biases and realize he made us all look teribble.

Mitten's comments were mean spirited and way over the top. As a lawyer, Mittani has to know he is responsible for what he says, alcohol or not.

As CSM chairman, Mittani represents Eve Online, like it or not. At a time Eve should be getting good press from the gaming world, during fanfest, we look like a bunch of asshats. Have you seen some of the comments people have made about Eve on these gaming sites? They are not good, Eve looks like a bunch of un-caring bullies. Way to go Mittens, you douche.

If CCP has any sense of credibility at all, they have to remove him from the CSM, unless this is how they want their company perceived. If the Mittani loves Eve as much as he claims, he would step down himself and save CCP the trouble. Either way CCP has itself a PR nightmare with the gaming world and it's player base.

Remove Mittens and the company improves its PR image in the gaming world and among its non-Goon player base. To keep Mittens and Goons happy would mean that your image suffers, CCP and the Eve community. Best solution: Mittens steps up, falls on the sword, and keeps his zerglings in line from some kind of stupid retaliation against the Eve community.

It really is just as simple as this.. Mittens knew what he was doing, drunk or not. He is causing CCP and the Eve community all kinds of PR hell. Goons are not helping this image with their crusade to defend their leader for no sensible reason. All forum trolls aside, Mittani must go. I expect one of the aforementioned Goon-Crusader-Mittens-Lover-NPC-Alts will be quick to jump at this, but they know that they are wrong and only want to cause unnecessary drama to distract from the real issue at hand. All this said, Mittens, Resign from CSM and CEO and it will make everyone's lives much easier (Namely CCP and the entire Eve Community).

I call for ALL footage of the event from every single person who attended and had a device capable of recording image or sound. I request that these images/sounds be carefully considered by a group of independent experts whose only task is to identify people. I further request that everyone who had anything not resembling a somber look of disappointment and disgust to be summarily banned from Eve Online and/or fired from their position at CCP. The only way to be well and truly sorry about this issue is to have everyone who was mirthful about this be brought to justice. No-one shall be safe from the long arm of the law. If there was a way to capture who was viewing the live stream and determine their mood during the "Slay Thyself Scandal" I would include my previous request to include data capture of that as well and to enact retribution and judgement on them as well.

Since my above idea isn't possible I guess we should all just bring up this issue as a straw man to try and get Mittens/Goons in trouble again? Ok, BURN THE WITCH!!

Or if an alliance leader made a blog post saying how depressed they where, and how the alliance was the only thing that kept them alive, would't that mean no one who read that could war dec them (a war dec is just calling on thousands of people to harass someone right)? I mean it is EVE, people would do that.

I think the problem is we are in a really grey area here and what I don't like seeing is all the spin to make this out as the worst case scenario of bullying for political gain which in the long run may hurt the cold harsh universe of EVE most of us love.

How do you know that what the wiz said in his original evemail was truthful and not a ploy to get the isk for his makinaws back? Oh right, it was said over the internet and therefore it must be true?

Talking smack about a character in an online spaceship game is not cyber bullying. This is amazing publicity for CCP and Eve as it will probably make the mainstream press.

Just end this madness and go back to your game.

If you think having your product being famous for Cyber Bullying is good publicity I suggest you go find a newspaper and see how people are reacting towards Cyber Bullying and how computer games are destroying the very morals of young children.

Whether you call bullshit on it doesn't matter, what matters is in a lot countries people are gunning for any person, group of people or companies that does nothing or even worse, encourages this kind of behaviour.

I am becoming more and more disturbed by the fact the goons are not only pro Cyber Bullying.

But for cyber bullying to such and end as leading to suicide and murder by proxy.

Thats a very scary thing.

This is becoming even bigger then Alex. Its fine if you just mess with a guy in game, but once you take it out of game I think there is a major problem here.

They are basically saying its ok to murder people by proxy as a Corp/cult. Goons are defending killing people IRL.

This is a new level of messed up.
