I understand your point I I accept the "Mittani and Goonswarm brand". I have no problem with that.

What I expect, especially from someone who represents a part of the community (no matter what part) knows were the limits are and sees when their jokes go to far. Nothing against jokes of that kind in general (some of the other mocks like that were really funny), but as I said, there is a limit. Mittani and Goonsworm crossed that line and I'm sure not out of pure evilness or something but because they lost their touch to reality to some extent. Not everything is a game. Of course it's not that easy when reality and game cross each other like in EvE.

You should understand that there are very sensitive people out there. Maybe that mail wasn't real. Maybe you think that humanity would be better without them if they are that unstable. But that is an highly ethical debatte that this platform has really no place for. Things like this can happen, even to a stable person.



You should go watch some marilyn manson interviews.

Same kinda thing but different, it really doesn't matter if you agree with any ethics around what he says or not, the people buying into him do.

Back to Mittani, this thread only goes to show how much more publicity he can get from a couple of glib comments.
I'll wager that his backers are all "wooooo mittani", his opersition are all "booooo mittani" and those that hadn't heard of him untill now, well, there's potential new voters.

GW is a scam. They claim its free2play but they force you to buy every expansion, and if you miss one single expansion you are unable to participate in the PvP content. If Mittani the Great was sincere in his apologies, he would have understood the gravity of his mistake and have apologized when someone questioned his misconduct after the Fanfest.

His nonchalant and rude replies are already solid proof that he had no willingness to apologize.

Only when his chairmanship was threatened and various media coverage brought spotlight to his misconduct, then he decided to write a half-hearted letter of apologies to the community.

Does Mittani the Great thinks we are that dumb to fall for his pathetic attempt to sway the crowd?

He already caused irreparable damage to EVE Online. Keeping him as part of CSM not only tarnish the reputation of CSM and CCP, but sets a horrible horrible precedent for the future fo the game.

Wow the internet is not magical faerie land of happiness and gumdrops. eve is ruthless and speech should not be censored in any way. and why the **** would you say your gunna commit suicide to someone you don't know all that well? to me it seems like this guy was not being serious. i don't know all the facts but if i was scamming someone and they said they were going to kill themselves. i probably would be like whatever have fun.
