If you don't believe me, consider the fact that The Wis wasn't even aware there was a controversy until a goon contacted him today. None of the people that thing this is a huge deal bothered to even check if the supposed "victim" was doing alright. So basically the bleeding hearts are hypocrites.

It was never about the "victim". It's about The Mittani's actions as a CSM, and whether or not that conduct is acceptable.

I've said that no fewer than 3 times in this thread already, but people would rather bicker over nonsensical, irrelevant topics than try to look at this scenario logically.

This whole incident has been some pretty interesting stuff IMO.

As a member of the CSM you're not just another player, you're a representative for the EVE Online player base. In this case it doesn't really matter who said what, but if a member of the CSM act i inappropriately CCP needs to take actions, or else it will put the whole playerbase in a bad light. I would prefer if new subscribers didn't think we were a bunch of cyber bullies telling depressed people that they should kill themselves. And I'm pretty sure that's not the image CCP are going for either.

Internet nerds. Stop acting tough, and show some empathy. As much as I despise mittani and the goons, I would never encourage any one of them to commit suicide. Kids, empathy will come with age. As a leader, it took one of my Soldiers blowing his brains out in Iraq to realize that even verbalization of suicide is enough to lead to an attempt.

Mittani and goons, I am not raging, nor am I losing sleep over your existence in eve, but you all have a long way to go towards maturity.
