I respect your apology but find it entirely within the persona you have created and which your fans adore, to post a public apology simultaneously with a goon-forum repudation of the apology and further attacks on any who disagree with you.
Your actions will determine how genuine this is, and offering your resignation from the CSM is the step that will make your apology have weight that does not feel like a politician's pseudo-apology.

I don't know if the appology is meant or just a facade. I also don't care if it is.

Old american saying : Don't want to do time? Don't do the crime.
The fact 10,058 accounts voted for you is no reason to accept a mere appology without further consequences.

I don't mean RL consequences like some people stutter. That has nothing to do with EVE as a whole.
However you have damaged the credibility of EVE and the CSM as organisation by your actions and as such a penalty should be in place.

Seeing you have a large blockvote the removal from the CSM isn't really in the best intrest of CCP, nor should it be for the EVE players which voted for you.
But the chair might be not the best place for you and as such I would suggest to take another position within the CSM and leave the chair to someone who isn't as tainted as you are at the moment.

Disagree tbh, nevermind that I did it and not him. It wasn't something that he should step down over. This is EVE Online, not Hello Kitty Online. People get buttmad in EVE over their internet space pixels, and this is no exception.

The apology was appropriate. Please dont resign, and CCP please dont make him resign.

People do stupid things on occasion (especially when drunk), in this case stuff got blown way out of proportion by dumbshit media outlets desperate for page views. Having read the response from the individual in question (it found its way onto reddit) they seem to not care or are even maybe enjoying their 5 minutes of e-fame.

I suppose any final decision by CCP is up to a bunch of people who frankly dont give a rats ass about EVE aside from how much RL money it makes them, and the shareholders may see the bad publicity hurting their bottom line.
