I have a new found appreciation for the phrase "Politically Correct".

Seriously, good job on the maneuver.

However, I don't think any apology is necessary.

OH MY GOD, DON'T SHOOT THE GUY, HE MIGHT BE SUICIDAL! is going to be my phrase in fleets from now on.

Where I am.

yo ~mittens~,

if you really want to apologize for something of actual value, you should film yourself shaving off your chinstrap.

Holy mother of god there are people in here who seriously think Mittani's a sociopath in real life and this is all some ~puppetmasta~ ploy. :cripes:

A black stain forever, I think. Mittani will never enjoy the same level of respect he did before.

On the contrary, standing up to one's mistakes deserves respect. Not everyone is able to do that. For what it's worth, the person behind The Mittani has made an impression upon me with this apology. So much in fact that now I'm torn on whether or not he should resign.

And I'm not one of the 10,058.

The Mittani you're an idiot for apologizing.

It won't stop people from doxing or harassing you. The opposition has nothing to do with what you said and everything to do with who you are a successful member of the CSM and a goon.

I highly doubt you would care one iota if not for the public outcry. You have brought shame and dishonor to CCP, CSm abd the entire Eve community. Do the right thing and step down from CSM.

You are literally the last person on the CSM that has any room to make statements about character (since you have none).

It's a well-written apology.

The question is whether or not you can be believed. People don't change overnight, and to be honest this comes across as similar to the "boy who cried wolf" tale...even if you're sincere, nobody believes you anymore.

Actions are much louder than words. We will see whether or not this has been a paradigm-altering event and a hint at future behaviour to come, or just the meaningless ramblings of an e-Politician.

History is not on your side, however.

Although i think you stepped over the line, i am reassured by your apology, people tend to do stupid things they regret when drunk, we've all been there. I don't think this debacle warrants a resignation, this is an internet space ship game after all, not real politics. The CSM needs a chairman as dedicated as you. I think its understandable that in your drunken haze let the reality of Alex overlap with the reality of The Mittani, which i think is predicable given you must spend so much of your free time being 'The Mittani'

All in All, most of the forum threads are just trolls that will move one to the next big space drama that comes to eve.

Thank you for the apology, Now back to work

Respect for the apology, you seem sincere there Alex. But I think for the good of the CSM project going forwards and for CCP's reputation in the wider gaming press you should resign as Chair at the minimum and allow another CSM member to take responsibility for leading the player council this year.

The CSM needs a leader with the respect of the player base at this point. You no longer have it.

Eve is coming to a far better state it was in the previous year and the future looks very optimistic. The last thing any of us need is to be reading about cyber-bullying and out of character abuse at fanfest when everyone involved with eve on the player or CCP side just needs to put the bad times behind us and get on with promoting and playing this game.

You worked in the interests of the player base last year Alex alongside the Jita and unsub protests to help CCP turn the ship around and sail out from under the spectre of microtransaction-crazy disaster. Let that be your legacy.

Now its time to resign as chair and let somebody else take a turn.

No reason to doubt your sincerity.

Well done for doing the right thing by simply saying 'sorry'

It's fanfest.

It's not at all surprising that folks might get into the same routine as they do when they're playing eve.

If we were voting today, you'd still have the votes from all of my accounts.

Sorry, but you weren't blackout drunk, and you don't need to be to say things like that. The only difference is this time it was in public, and it's on tape, so you can't deny it.

Your manipulation and perception management skills are also things associated with a certain mental illness. I've been expecting this finely crafted 'apology' for awhile now, because i see through you right to the other side.
