CSM The Mittani's Misconduct Calls for Resignation - We Did It!

about time CCP did some interdiction of its own this time round,

Congress isn't going to act unless there's something in it for them - either money or goodwill from their voterbase. Goodwill from their voterbase would require the public to (a) know about this and to (b) give a **** about it.

For this to happen, some major news source would have to pick up the story and run with it, which means they'd have to call it cyber-bullying and interview The Wis about it. Not only does The Wis seem pretty much not-too-bothered about the whole thing, he's also an adult. Cyber-bullying is a hot topic because it falls under the "think of the children" banner, which is pretty much incompatible with an adult, especially one who doesn't seem bothered by what transpired (not anymore, anyway).

Look another goon that cannot read. I clearly said that it would be worst case but I guess that is to hard for idiots like you to understand.

All that would need to happen btw is for an eager Congress person to jump on this issue and use it as example A for why we need their new X law. There are enough anti- gamer groups out there now that I am sure they have an ear of some congress person. This is worst case, this is not going to happen unless everything falls into line just right and I am not saying it should happen. What I am saying, acting like this is some innocent trash talking is just plain silly, it is more than that, anyone with common sense can see that. That is why you goons don't understand. This is incorrect. In an increasing number of areas in the United States Alexanders actions would have, in fact, broken relatively new cyber bullying laws. As a mental health professional myself and one who voted for Mittani believing he is capable of doing great things I am very disappointed in his conduct and can assure you that the number of accounts supporting him is at least 3 less--the ones I am responsible for.

And the gutter press love nothing more than news like this, its going to be a field day for them if this is stumbled upon by their **** poor journalists who like to make sensationalist stories out of anything on a slow news day. Especially if they can get the word Sony in their story.

But, if he blows up your ship and you threaten suicide then he attempts to get you to commit suicide and encourages others to harass you to commit suicide as well, yes, he should be banned if that is against the EULA/TOS of EVE Online.

Look at all the goons replies, its like someone did something to upset someone in goonswarm like a ceo or something, or are the low on their quota of forum bs.

But seriously suggesting someone should take there own life is a serious ****headed move imo, and anyone who
represents a group of people should not be able to make such comments and get away with it simply because they are part of the csm which claims to represnt players beliefs, i personally do not believe in what the mitanni has said is correct or wish that his point of view be representive of my opinions on such matters.

And if you personally think that people with a mental illness or who are depressed should commit suicide then you are a **** and dont really understand basic genetics and causes of mental illness and depression, in which case go read wikipedia.

Also to the people saying people who threaten to commit self harm over a video game should be mocked, while it might be funny in your opinion to laugh at, some people do actually commit harm to themselves and others because of what happens in video games, there have been many scientific studies into the effects that video games have on peoples mental health and perception of real life and suggest you go read some before making such suggestions, after all video games might not be real but the emotions and actions they prevoke very much are real and such actions should not be taken lightly or generaly mocked.

And people wonder why people dont like goons much.

Idon't see how this can in any way be used for "this dude ganked me and i wanna kill maself".

It'd been great and all that if mittani went "damn, imma gonna go and find him and gank him some more". But he went and blurfed "everyone go gank him till he drops dead" so to say .

So no, if somethings done bout this ****, it sure as hell won't have an impact on ganking (remember, ganking is the point in the game).
