Harassment. Same law that prevents you from doing it in public or in the work place. Actually it is a bit worse on the internet cause I am pretty sure libel can come into play as well because it is considered published if it is on the internet.

You would need to talk to a lawyer to find out what applies. Generally, if you can't do it IRL, you can't do it online. That includes yelling insults and harassment at the mentally challenged.

Yes, I'd be very content to see him explain that he didn't believe this person to really be suicidal and he didn't really intend to encourage people to grief someone to death or out of game. If he simply apologized for the statement, explained himself...etc...whatever...he'd have my support in this.

Based on responses from that end though, I suspect that not only will this not happen...but that you're completely wrong about his intentions. I mean, they're saying **** like that it'd be a good thing for humanity if the guy offed himself.

I'm not a fan of banning people or kicking people off the CSM for saying things. So I am against it.

BUT CCP should take whatever action they think fit and not listen to these white knights on there high horses looking for their 15 seconds.

Do you have The Wis' name handy by any chance? No? Do you even know what harassment is either? It's repetitive nature. Mittani said it once and that was it. The first time, Mittani did nothing of the sort to encourage him. Unless you say that smartbombing his 22 miners makes him responsible for The Wis saying he was going to kill himself. Plus Mittani posed no threat to The Wis whatsoever which is one of the issues of harassment.
