Actually if they listen to a bunch of NPC corp alts they would be a laughing stock amongst other major game publishers.

The Mittani is a fantastic player. He is charismatic. He is smart (was?). He is (was) probably the top choice that CCP could've ever hoped for. He speaks with eloquence and he definitely knows how to command a crowd.

But hey, **** hit the fan when he decided to incite thousands of others to further encourage an unfortunate player's suicidal tendency.

Completely unacceptable. We are not trying to bring shame to the Goons. We are trying to correct Mittani the Great's individual mistake and an irreparable harm that he has caused to EVE's image amongst other major games.

Don't worry! Goons will prevail under a better leadership!

Seems to fall under this :

Quote:
You may not abuse, harass or threaten another player or authorized representative of CCP, including customer service personnel and volunteers. This includes, but is not limited to: petitioning with false information in an attempt to gain from it or have someone else suffer from it; sending excessive e-mails, EVE-mails or petitions; obstructing CCP Employees from doing their jobs; refusal to follow the instructions of a CCP Employee; or implying favoritism by a CCP Employee.

good job internet lawyer. Now here's something you didn't know. The EULA applies to the game, not fanfest.

Well done for quoting rules regarding in game behavior and applying them to a speech made in a conference out of game.

5b says next year's fan fest will have an EULA.

Suicide is the final resort of a coward. The real damage is done to those who are left behind blaming themselves for not doing "something" different. I have zero sympathy for the type of person who would inflict that on people, or who would threaten to inflict that for the purpose of gaining some sort of extra attention .
If its over a goddamn video game then you shouldn't have been let out of your padded cell to play it in the first place.

Right or wrong Mittani is gone. Its already hitting the media and with cyber bullying being as much of a hot button topic as it is, any company in their right mind would distance themselves as much as possible from something like this. He's gotsta go. All there is to it.
No, he isn't. Good thing you're not CCP. Nor did Mittani sign the TOS or EULA to attend fanfest.

I would be surprised if he isn't gone in 24 hours. Business is business. As a company you do NOT want your company name showing up in the media associated with something like this. When the inquiries start coming in the good answer is "The player has been banned and is no longer on the player representation board." The media can hurt a company big time if you don't play them right. Just how it is =/

Seriously?....

I personally saw nothing wrong with The Mittani's conduct at Fanfest. I think people are jealous that such a hated man can have so much fun. Obviously he isn't that bad of a guy if 10K+ people voted for him.

You need to stop being so butthurt about this. It makes you look like an idiot

The man was in Iceland...Getting drunk and talking about internet spaceships. I would be stoked out of my mind If I had to come to terms with those facts for myself. His behavior shouldn't be a discussion as we all display a form of ass-hattery when liquor is involved. Get over it? Yeah so what he is CSM... Id like to think my representatives have a little character.

Getting a mentally unstable person to commit suicide over a game?...... Where do I sign up?!!!?

Such faggotry and weakness should not be allowed to exist in this world. THIS IS SPARTA!!

Guys...this is Goonswarm we are talking about here. You are never going to win an argument with them about common sense or morality. They are usually too ignorant and assinine to have either. This is why they are in Goonswarm. Expecting their leader of all people to have a shred of common sense or morality is just wishful thinking. There are a lot of assholes in this world. Just be glad that in EvE they are all in one place and not a part of your corp. If and when CCP is publicly humiliated in the presses by something "The Mittani" does, then CCP will do what they need to at that time.

In the meantime...stop arguing morality with people on the internet that obviously have none.

Bounties for all! https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=2279821#post2279821

An EULA violation results in dismissal from the CSM.

Do try to keep up.

I say we just take from the Future Vision of Eve.

"Honor isn't about making the right choices. It's about dealing with the consequences. There is a fine line between right and wrong. You better know which side of it your on. The moment you lose your honor, that's when you learn the hard way. Your choice always comes back around."

Is he right or wrong in the eyes of the eve player base? It don't really matter he walked that fine line between right and wrong and stepped over it. He lost his honor and he needs to accept the consequences.

Now all we need is a hot little red head (CCP Sunset) to walk up behind Mittani in a public venue and put a bullet in him and make a trailer out of it.

1. Does anybody know this person who is supposedly "Suicidal" in real life

2. If you can not answer yes to question one then you can not comment on the mental condition of this person and whether they are genuinely or not.

For all we know this person is not Suicidal in any way shape or form and just over reacted to losing some pixels in a internet space game.

If somebody does know this person in real life and if they are genuinely Suicidal then what the hell are you doing letting somebody with that mind set play a game like Eve to begin with?

Also if it had been any other person who had said this then we wouldn't of had so many people trying to act as a Knight in Shining Armour trying to pretend they give a **** about this person.

The truth of the matter is that most people posting here against the The Mittani (and the goons as a whole) are just people who have been butt hurt in a internet space ship game and are trying to get what ever revenge then can against them because they have no other way.

You don't give a **** about the person in question, you just see this as your only way of trying to get at the goons.

What's worse, a person who openly mocks somebody with Suicidal thoughts because they lost some pixels in a internet space game or the person who pretends he cares about said person and just wants to exact some kind of revenge because they were butt hurt.

Find me the part where the Facebook ToS says it doesn't apply to behavior on Bebo.
