Might I ask why you subjugate the people who can spell and pronounce the language correctly to such fallacy? Why am I forced to spell like an American when I am English? I cannot comprehend why, I, as an Englishman, am forced to improperly spell my native language.

Discuss.

Cause the English suck Ck...

Irrelevant

"Armor" is how the majority of people spell it and is how everyone is used to spelling it in this game

Changing it to "Armour" now would be a pain to the majority of your subscribers and would be forcing them all to un-learn their local spelling styles

I think you rather missed the point there, Terminal.

Re the OP, this is the sort of spluttering nonsense that retired colonels with nothing better to do write to the broadsheets in green ink. The English language is in constant flux, it always has been, and to affect surprise that American English is used in an internationally played game is ludicrous with even a brief consideration of recent world history.

Another thread that's a fuss about nothing.

I think basically, it's because if you speak/read English you can understand American. Most game software I've seen uses the American version mainly because their gaming market and population are much larger.

There's nothing stopping you typing in English, it's not like it's going to corrupt the way you spell something. Not unless you're a complete moron.

Funny fact but "Armor" is actually the proper american spelling. Just like Color.

Yeah, I was wondering what he was getting at. Here I am thinking "Looks British to me."

1. arm-our
2. arm-or

yep when you pronounce option 1 you sound like a moron, when you pronounce option 2 it's a real word. oh look thats how it is spelled as well

also iirc america is something like 20 times the population of england and canada and pretty much anywhere else that speaks a form of english.

America is a poor facsimile of Britain. Britain gifted America our place names, our language and our traditions yet most Americans can't even find Britain on a map. Now the troglodites have the audacity to tell us we're doing our own language wrong.

Fiddlesticks.

That's only because of all the illegal immigrants, if you actually counted the number of people who are literate in English it would be a lot less.

The color of the knight's armor added to his honor of defense to his castle. He ran to the center of battlefield and pierced through the enemy knight like his armor was made of aluminum. Even though he was within meters of defeat, the fibers of his undershirt remained wholly intact.

Not all English folk ***** about such things.

I for one would not care if we changed armour to armor, it would make it easier for non-Americans/non-English to understand. We borrowed Armour (Armoire) from the French anyway in the Middle Ages.

LOL. People on islands are always so right. We should all be like them, being the barbaric haters of monarchy that we are.

God save the misspelled.

I'll only accept the changes in spelling if they add crumpets and tea as pos fuel, made from Veldspar and goonswarm corpses, in honor of the queen.

I just can't let this slide. Britain didn't "gift" us with anything. The only thing you attempted to gift us with was an oppressive monarchy, which we stood and fought to get away from. We also have no need to find Britain on a map, because, to be quite honest, we could care less about you. Go drink your tea, and continue thinking that English belongs to you.

I'm in support of the OP as long as it's East End English - favvah (father).

We must accommodate the idiocracy.
