We are happy to announce that the Scylla release has been successfully deployed!

Scylla brings new opportunities that will be added to the opportunities system, as well as a Tech III subsystem rebalance, the download on demand client, and many fixes, changes and quality of life improvements to make the world of New Eden a better place for all.

For further information you can see our new updates website, and for a detailed breakdown of what's in this release, check out the full patch notes here!

There is also important information here with regards to the new Download on Demand client. Be sure to read it before patching!

For general discussion and feedback regarding Scylla, please use this thread. For issues with the release on PC, see here. Please report any issues you experience with Download on Demand here, and for Mac users, there is, as always, a thread on the Macintosh forums for discussion of this release.

hmm am i wrong in thinking that the yacht was only for winners of the fanfest comp? in other words, did you 2 win?

The download on demand will be one hell of a pain in the butte for those guys with slow internet...

PS: This ships looks absolutely ridiculous it can fit some tank and has a high slot so you can put a cyno on it Lol

Actually, every active subscriber on the winning server is supposed to get a yacht. i.e. the Tranquility team won so everyone on TQ is supposed to get a yacht.

i'm curious about the ship skins. I thought that the skins were going to be a function of the ship fitting window. Did that not happen either?

I do have to say that I like the additional functionality of the Beta Map!! The ability to left click and move around the map ROCKS! Thank you!

Resource loader doesn't seem very smart. Even though I should already have item icons since I just patched instead of re-did everything....

Anyway, the loader only fetches what is IMMEDIATELY visible - if it is on the same screen but, say, the inventory needs to be scrolled down to bring it in to view it is not loaded.

"The new Victorieux Luxury Yacht has been released by the Intaki Syndicate, and will be awarded to all subscribed accounts on the server whose representatives win the World's Collide PVP tournament at Fanfest."

Where are the empty wrecks? I've seen no mention of wrecks only being produced for loot dropping kills. Is this a bug or a 'feature'?

i want to know how this download on demand is going to affect players like me with poor internet speeds because of location

350kb/s going to be enough now?

Running the second Mission since patching. There are no wrecks left, after taking NPCs down.

EDIT: Nevermind. Now there they are.

I'm not sure how integrated it is, but you can check a box telling the launcher to download all "shared" resource files in advance. Click the button in the top right corner of the launcher that looks like a cog wheel thing. The setting you're looking for is under "Download."

There's a known issue whereby NPCs without loot will not form a wreck. Noted in the Issues thread. Sorry for the inconvenience.
