So this is CCP's stand point? You make something we pay for unusable and if we speak out about it YOU (CCP) remove it (public outcry)?

So this is how you truly treat your customers?

Mac client. iMac 27" early 2011, Core i5 2.7GHz, 12GB RAM, Radeon HD6770 512 MB. FPS dropped quite noticeably. Can't tell exactly what the FPS was before the update (because I didn't care), but feels like it was 60-sh. I used a bit lower then the default graphic settings and never had problems. Even though I've set settings to a minimum, I got 25-30 FPS inside a station (hangar), near a station and in asteroid belt. It's 55-60 when in warp or there's nothing in view like a station or a planet. Cant even imagine how bad it will be in a battle with a few dozens of ships. Changing Present Interval, resource cache enabled doesn't make difference. There is even absolutely no difference between minimum 1024x768 and maximum 2560x1440. I got the same low FPS. Cache reset doesn't help either

This is very sad and a potential deal breaker for me. And I hope this can be fixed.

I have exact same problem and exact same specs, except i have 6GB ram instead 12 GB. Any news on this CCP?

Graphic problem!

3 days ago I was a happy panda playing eve in 60-ish fps.

Then I patched to 1.5, it worked, logged in and I have 3-8 fps in space, starts a petition filed under "Graphic problem". Next day I see a new patch, patching works nice, log in, still 3-8 fps. And today, next patch-on-the-patch-on-the-1.5 .. so I was eager to see if it's solved, still 3-8 fps and no reply on the petition.

I can just imagine how much work you have these days, but I'm now a sad panda.

I use a iMac (OSX Lion), 3.06Ghz Core 2 Duo, 4Gb 1067Mhz ram, ATI Radeon 4670.

selfquote, bump!

2 days now with no new patch, no answers to my petition, no fix, and the game is still unplayable...

unsatisfied!

Again, same problem. Not as bas as 5 fps on my imac, but my 2008 macbook pro gets 5 fps indeed. Used to run 20-25 fps

I would like to congratulate CCP on their new launcher program.

It now shows the state of the server before you log in:

Server: Online Active Players: 17,100

But when you get to the log in screen it says: Server not accepting connections.

What the hell is that all about. I thought the idea of the launcher was to show more information no lie to you !!!!

Another improvement should be, that you have only to download patches once. But this is also a lie that does not work as promised.
Furthermore the links on the NEWS side does not work and leads to a blank site in my browser.

Ok, I solved this issue where the full installer was broken and did manually install it but now another issue has arise and that is, When I go to update my EVE client the update downloads and then finishes then the same update reappears as if i never downloaded it. So ultimately I'm stuck in a loop.

Any Advice or help would be nice.

Thank you.

Change to window-mode, it'll fix the FPS issue some clients have.

So, still no answer from CCP if they are going to stop polluting c:/Users directory abusing administrator rights i give to their launcher process and make their failcode work on computers with locate different from english.
PS.
Dear CCP,
Please let us specify directories for your highly advanced launcher manually.

Thanks.

Since the last patch, i've been having issues with the sound not working in the game. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Audio Enabled (check)

Music 40%
UI Sound/Speech 60%
World Level 40%
Master Level 80%
Quieter Turret Sounds (check)

Those are my audio settings in game.

Occasionally some of the UI sounds will work, including the speech audio. But actual in game sounds like warp sounds, weapons fire, alarms etc wont work.

Sound worked fine prior to the last patch. All audio outside of the game works perfectly fine for me.
I've even run 3 accounts on 3 screens, and occasionally only 1 or 2 will have audio work.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Edit: I think it has to do with the new launcher. Logging off while in space, then logging back on seems to fix the problem after I alter the audio settings. I just tested it on 3 clients and it seems to fix the issue. Quite annoying to have to relog to get audio to work properly.

I turned off sound when it was several weeks and these guys hadn't fixed the salvager sound carrying on indefinitely after Crucible.

I assume it is still screwed up since they are so busy wrecking things like the overview.

Your missing the point my friend... The point being is CCP are burying their heads in the sand hoping that all the p1$$ed off players will just walk away without a fight. The reason I am still posting is firstly i want CCP to apologise and tell us all what they are going to do about those of us who have been unable to play since this "New Launcher" fiasco started. Secondly what form of re-imbursement they will give to xxxx players that have been affected. Thirdly to remove the launcher entirely and bring it out when it is "Working Properly".

These are the point's my friend, these are the point's.

I found a work-around for my problem, which is that when I run two clients my fps drops to 1 when I open the fitting window, and at other random (and dangerous) times. This is on Win7 on a 64-bit machine with a good graphics card that had no problem running 2 clients before 1.5 came out.

The work-around is to nerf the video quality by turning off HDR and setting everything else under Graphic Content Settings to medium or low.

Apparently CCP did something that is killing client performance, probably by consuming more memory but it's hard to say without running it with a tool like IBM Rational Quantify that collects detailed performance metrics of a running program.

Hey CCP! What happened to the "need for speed"? We still need it!

So CCP, what up?
CCP are too busy:

1) Prepping their trite presentations for FF.

2) Installing additional security and weaponry detection devices at key facilities to protect themselves against irate customers.

3) Figuring out how not to completely alienate their bread and butter PC-based customers with their new, console-only FPS title.
