Yes, always been like that.

Then I've been playing something else the last years. I had only 2 kinds of rats in 1 belt e.g. supremacists and Obliterators but never more kinds in one spawn

I can safely say that it's always been like this, you can get mixed spawns with lots of different types/classes of NPC's though they're the same faction.
WTF are you smoking?

Never have I encountered more than two classes / types of rats in regular asteroid belts -- after five years of off-and-on ratting across countless regions, anomaly running and significant exploration w/in the EVE-O service. The exception might be a faction or officer spawn, but even those are relatively homogenous.

Perhaps you (CCP Zulu) are thinking of Anomaly spawns... or continue to have your head buried in your $1k jeans... Roll

There isn't a single installer for the Launcher, however you can download the Repair Tool from here.

Ok, so after i downloaded this "new 1.09 repair tool" (which strangely is exactly the same size as the last one 6.132Kb), deleted the old one and put it inside the game folder, I followed DEV Cascade's steps:

1. Reboot the computer.
2. Navigate to the EVE client install folder.
3. Run the Repair tool until it finshes.
4. Run eve.exe from the same folder

However the error message i get when i run the repair.exe is still this one: http://memegenerator.net/instance/16243252

Why are all of my windows and settings lost?

I thought this was not supposed to happen?

Ok, i figured this out.

Old settings remained in ...appdata...../ c_program_files_(x86)_ccp_eve_tranquility folder

However, CCP has laid the final blow, and for whatever reason, probably unknown to themselves, created new folder called

c_progra~2_ccp_eve_tranquility

Way to go.

I'm on 64 bit windows 7 btw.

So I copied my settings over, overwrote and it seems to work now.

Any help would be appreciated on this front. Running under XP, latest SP, have Eve on external HD H:, can't seem to find where the relevant folders to fix this would be as my setting seem to be borked atm.
Thanks,

MD

The only thing that worked for me was to download the entire new client and then launch the executable from the bin directory.

The launcher is broken, the repair tool fails.

Way to go CCP.. more FAIL.

No success re: Mac client. Patch version is the same, so I'm guessing the update hasn't made it to Mac yet. Any update on that?

I am afraid that we have no updates for the Mac yet. It will demand a bit more investigation from our side. I would advice Mac players who are having issues to reinstall the game to see if that resolves the issue.

Thanks. I have some spare bandwidth, so I might try that and let you know.

I hope fixing the sound problem with sound-distance will also fix the problem with engine-sound, they're now so low Sad I can't properly hear the engines at all (Noctis has even no sound at all) and the hummering before I reach the maximum speed of warp. Proper module's sound effect when more than one module is active is gone too.

I'm Caroline Grace, and this is my favorite musical on the Citadel.

Still fail with the freshly released repair.exe, screenshots and logs:

eve.exe

launcher.exe

ExeFile.exe worked once, then it broke once I ran the repair tool again.

* I'll also note that the initial run of the patcher this afternoon borked my EVE install as it tried to patch over Singularity instead of Tranquility local installs, then when I uninstalled Singularity it uninstalled Tranquility instead. The "light" web installer wouldn't download the payload files, so had to download the two huge payloads, then ofc now all my settings are gone/reset during that one time EVE worked. Not that it matters anymore because EVE doesn't work anymore per above.

Good grief.

Upon trying to drag and drop a ship from the window of an offline, anchored Ship Maintenance Array into the window of an online SMA at a POS, the Eve client immediately and unrecoverably crashes.

Repeated with same outcome 4 times across 3 seperate accounts and clients.

Bug report filed.

This issue has been resolved and the copying between folders shouldn't be needed.

Dear CCP DEVS

After numerous attempts of patching fixing repairing and following your steps, my Launcher and repair tool are still not working, i am still not playing and my paid account game time is running out.

I would like to know how can i patch my Launcher and Repair tool to the new 1.09 version and patch the game so i can log in.

Thank you for your attention

VPCF12Z1E/BI - i7 Q740 1.73GHz - 8GB DDR3 1333MHz - SEAGATE SATA2 500GB 7200 RPM - BLU RAY BURNER - NVIDIA GFORCE 330GT 1GB - Windows7 x64

Just for the record, i have never ever had any problems patching and running the game on this laptop, as a matter of fact i can run 10 clients of your game at the same time with my processor not even at 50% while i stream video or play other games if i so desire.

Until suddently, after logging in to the Eve client today and downloading the new Crucible 1.5 patch, the new launcher is installed and runs but as it tries to apply the patch a message pops up saying: "The EVE Launcher cannot update a directory from which processes are running. Please close the following process: launcher.exe". I did close that process, but then i start the patching again and the launcher is launched again, popping the same message. HUH? WOW

Maybe i need to restart my computer. There must be some interference from the Crucible 1.5 virus process.

We ask people to reboot their computer to make sure that there are no locked files or other processes running while running the repair tool. This would otherwise interfere with the repair tool and prevent the client from updating.

Please let us know if this resolves the issues you are experiencing.

Anyone offer any suggestions as to how to rectify this issue?

Many Thanks.

I did a complete re-install and I still get this error:

Sys info: Windows 7 64 Bit

I tried to initially just let the game do it's update; but it failed.
I tried the repair tool and initially that failed too; it was failing when it tried to update itself.
I ran the repair tool under administrator and that ran with the Success Complete message; but when I hit Ok I got an error message.
I then ran eve.exe and that no longer launched; gave a fatal error.
I uninstalled and re-installed and now I'm back to the above error.
The above error is on Step 3 of 7.

i can't even start to run patch. it says it needs to be installed with administrator rights but ny user has full admin rights. it keeps wanting to default to username=administrator but that account doesn't even exist!! and since they don't have manual patches I am stuck.

Its pretty obvious right now that what is failing for us win7 x64 users is the new patching system introduced with this new Georgia software launcher. Looking like it needed to get fixed before getting launched

CCP cares so much for their costumers that they would rather launch a fail launcher and **** ppls clients up, making them troubleshoot the failure and get deprived of paid game time, while they try and clean the mess, throwing bullshit at us
