Sound bug.- Before the patch the sounds of your launchers/guns firing used to decrease the further you scrolled out the viewing range of your ship. It no longer does this, you get the same sound sat on your ship as you do viewing it from miles away which is an absolute pain if your not trying to wake the nipper up.

I have the same problem. Even after a computer reboot running into my second blue screen of death since I switched to Windows 7. Got the massive crash and memory dump running 3 clients as per usual. Activity at the time was low, 2 ships just sitting there while the 3rd was starting salvaging. Boom. Screen corrupted and my computer is restarting.

Will update if it happens again, with more info. But my system is not minimal by any means 2GB memory card (6870), 8 GB of system RAM. Sure hope I can continue to run 3 clients. If not, I'll have to drop an account and that would suck.

I may not like you or your point of view but you have a right to voice it.

Had trouble with the D/L as did others. Had to repair the client. Now have intermittant audio spurts and splashes of white rays when salvaging wrecks. Game is a mess. You should do the whole thing over but get it right. I don't have time to fuss with files and tech stuff. I just want to play. If I can't play, I can't pay. Simple math. I am NOT getting what I've paid for.

Got the idea reading through this thread to move the Eve game folder from C:\Program Files x86 to root directory, seemed to work around issues with the patcher and the repair tool for me. (Using Windows 7 64-bit)

As of 01:40 GMT (14th March) we released a new Launcher (Version 1.09) and a new repair tool to resolve some issues that players have been experiencing during the initial deployment of Crucible 1.5.

Those of you experiencing issues with the Launcher or updating the game, please follow these steps:

1. Reboot the computer.
2. Navigate to the EVE client install folder.
3. Run the Repair tool until it finshes.
4. Run eve.exe from the same folder

We ask people to reboot their computer to make sure that there are no locked files or other processes running while running the repair tool. This would otherwise interfere with the repair tool and prevent the client from updating.

Please let us know if this resolves the issues you are experiencing.

After installing the launcher I let the launcher do it's thing but it stalls after 15% and doesn't do anything. It also took about 30 min to get to 15%

Same here... any ideas. Thanks.

No answer for this to me or the others facing the same problem. A hint of what to do from the devs would be well recieved.

Say... "...Look guys, try in about 10 hours and you might be able to patch the game and try to log in". I donĀ“t mind losing game time, I DO mind losing REAL LIFE time sitting in front of the computer trying to solve this, reading 18 pages of posts in order not to ask something that has already been answered.

I know the caos you might be facing with all the problems but as a customer I expect an answer. And not a general one like "... we are working on ALL the problems ..."

Thank you for the time and hope all gets solved soon.

Right after I finished writting and posted I saw the Dev message. Will donwload it and tell you.

Doesn't work, same issues. The launcher doesn't even load any more.

The repair.exe does. not. work. You repeatedly tell us to run it and we repeatedly tell you it doesn't work. At some point something has to give.

Please give us the files to download, the patch files, anything, or better yet roll the patch back and re-release it when you've tested it properly.

Guys, there's a shortfall of approx 20,000 players online at this time, isn't this enough to show you how much this patch is affecting people? There's like 30k people online when normally there's 50k. Please roll the patch back.

And what do we have to do to download the new Launcher and Repair tool sir? Is it in the patch you download when you start the client? should we delete the old evepremiumpatch349998 and replace it with the new one? is that what you are saying?

Why are all of my windows and settings lost?

Install went fine, first load it preserved my old settings,, but after Eve client restart it's all gone again?

I thought this was not supposed to happen?

I'm getting this error message about 8 in 10 times when trying to open eve.exe with the /end /LUA:OFF option ( to force saving of settings locally in install folder). Else the launcher starts normally.

How about telling us why this issue wasn't resolved on Sisi before it was deployed on to TQ. Please stop ignoring this issue. It was repeatedly posted about by people on Sisi and CCP failed to address the issue before deployment.

When is CCP going to actually step up and take responsibility for it's failure to address player posted issues so that we aren't suffering downtime from the game now as a result of poor response from the Developers and CCP Management?

Just wondering where those changes to how CCP is going to conduct itself are being applied here as promised after last summer's Jita Protest.. I don't see a whole lot of CCP taking responsibility nor do I see anyone answering my repeated questions on why this issue was ignored on Sisi before being deployed to TQ.

Not that the CSM does anything worthwhile but certainly would like to see some accountability here and once again CCP is failing to communicate with the clients.

mkay, so, i have had the following issue:

- tried to start eve client through the launcher and it did not load
- waited a few mins, tried again. Settings did not load and eve had reset to default settings. Client asked me to do a patch even though I had already done it. Okay, whatever.
- waited a minute, started again. worked as normal, logged in and back out to swap chars
- started client again, default settings again. Closed client, but not before clicking on an irritating 'are you sure' checkbox to not bother me again. WHAT HAVE I DONE.
- started client again a few minutes later, default settings. FFF-.
- restarted computer
- still default settings.
- tried ~3 times now, still default settings.

Guessing that at this point i'm boned and going to have to redo my settings from scratch. Notamused.jpg Straight

ive lost all my settings and window positions

thanks ccp

its not the first time and it wont be the last, but you guys could at least warn players about it before (i suppose this gets tested before coming out and even a very small patch, so i think you guys know this in first hand) and develop ways to prevent this from happening so often

try to reposition windows and configure several clients then you will see what i mean

I just downloaded the patch again from the client and it is still the "evepremiumpatch349998" that appeared back in my cache\ folder.

Please stop insulting our intelligence feeding us bullshit and face the consequences of launching a fail patch leaving thousands of ppl prived of a service they paid for.

The best thing you can do right now to stop giving people a bad image about yourself is to give us a working patch as soon as possible and compensate us with real or ingame money for our loss.

To people bruised by this epic failed patch: we need to gather up and demand for compensation and while you're at it, go to http://www.hirezstudios.com/hirezwp/ , download the Hi-Rez Command game launcher, run it on your Win7 x64 without restarting your computer or killing or moving any processes or files and watch how a Georgia software (which apperently is where CCP got this new launcher from) launcher works in perfection and launches awesome mmorpg and action games without monthly subscritption fees attached,

I just disabled the launcher and then loaded the eve client and now it appears like the client isn't reading my cache. None of my login names have been remembered. Neither have any of my other settings, its like i've just completely reinstalled the client.

The patch scrapped everything. Have to rebuild my UI from scratch on over 10 characters. This is really frustrating.

Not sure if its intentional or not - but you can no longer right click and 'Warp to' any mission areas using the mission location in the mission description window.

In Crucible 1.4 and earlier this was always an allowed method of getting to the mission area, instead of having to right click in space and then hoping the context menu showed the mission area option.

Please reinstate the warping option from the mission description screen :)

Ok, i figured this out.

Old settings remained in ...appdata...../ c_program_files_(x86)_ccp_eve_tranquility folder

However, CCP has laid the final blow, and for whatever reason, probably unknown to themselves, created new folder called

c_progra~2_ccp_eve_tranquility

Way to go.

I'm on 64 bit windows 7 btw.

So I copied my settings over, overwrote and it seems to work now.
