Launcher stops downloading patch at 40% each time. Just been out for over 3 hours, came back and still at 40%. Restarted launcher and it got back to 40% downloaded (from 0% as it didn't resume at 40%) in a few mins. Then just stops again.

Done this 5 times now.

Where can I manually download the .patch file from and import it? Would be the easiest option but on the website there is no longer a download option for patches page, says I HAVE TO use the launcher.

Updating the game failed with a stacktrace telling me that C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\resDX9CaldariShips01.stuff was already in use. I double checked that I didn't have EVE already running and restarted the launcher; same problem.
So I tried manually deleting that file; however Windows couldn't delete it either, telling me that Google Chrome(!) was using that file. So I closed chrome and lo and behold, the update continued and completed successfully!

This was on Windows 7 x64.

The patch which delivers the Launcher can be found here: http://content.eveonline.com/349998/evepremiumpatch349998.exe. Please try downloading and running it again. If issues persist, please try the Repair Tool.

How can you tell what version of the launcher you have without having the ability to launch it?
Is there a link to the latest version of the launcher?

Mac client. iMac 27" early 2011, Core i5 2.7GHz, 12GB RAM, Radeon HD6770 512 MB. FPS dropped quite noticeably. Can't tell exactly what the FPS was before the update (because I didn't care), but feels like it was 60-sh. I used a bit lower then the default graphic settings and never had problems. Even though I've set settings to a minimum, I got 25-30 FPS inside a station (hangar), near a station and in asteroid belt. It's 55-60 when in warp or there's nothing in view like a station or a planet. Cant even imagine how bad it will be in a battle with a few dozens of ships. Changing Present Interval, resource cache enabled doesn't make difference. There is even absolutely no difference between minimum 1024x768 and maximum 2560x1440. I got the same low FPS. Cache reset doesn't help either

This is very sad and a potential deal breaker for me. And I hope this can be fixed.

This patch says it wants to install to the Sisi folder.. Are you telling us to install this to the Eve folder instead?

Just updating, my launcher has now found the latest update file after leaving it shut down for an hour. Not sure if you guys changed something server side or not, but if you did, much appreciative. Thanks CCP. If I have any other problems not already mentioned I'll be back.

Some clients seem to be getting permission errors when the Launcher is trying to update a file that the client uses. This has to do with the privileges on the Launcher. We are working on an update for the Launcher that we will deliver as soon as possible.

In the meantime, we suggest you try running the "Eve Online Launcher" shortcut as administrator (through right-click). If that doesn't work, try to use repair.exe to update your client.

I had the exact same issue as the user above. Closeing Firefox and redoing it worked though.
Now everything updated / installed fine.. What?

The .patch file is essentially a delta of your local client and a "master" on our servers. As such it's essentially install-specific. If you're having trouble with the Launcher, we'd recommend that you run it as administrator, or try using the Repair Tool. Hope that helps.

How is that going to help when we can't even install the client?

How can I tell what version of the launcher I have installed? I presume that it says the version when it is launched but I'm just getting an error message when I launch it (win7 pro 64-bit).
If there is no other way, can someone post the crc32 or md5 file hash for the latest version of the launcher so I can tell if I have it?

Running the repair tool or launcher as admin does NOT fix the errors that we're posting.

These are errors that were posted repeatedly on the Sisi forum regarding issues with people failing to be able to get on the test server.

It's amazing that these issues were not addressed considering the number of people that were posting about this in the first place.

I'm sure if you guys would bother to take a look, you'll see that I as well as others posted about the errors we were getting trying to connect to the test server.

Administrator privs do NOT fix the issue. The repair tool does NOT fix the issue. Are you getting this? Look in the Sisi thread about this.. You'll see this was an error that was foreseeable had you guys taken the time to actually read the test forums.

Morning all,

K, patch update started several versions of startup for EVE.

When i did close all the other one's, restarted the client, says node not available, no links work from the client, one time it says it's online, then doesn't connect me, freezes etc etc.

Enough of this, what the **** is going on, spent 1.5 hours trying this.

Is the server up or not, are we having major problems or not......

Some information would be appreciated.......

Thanks

Please just give us some information so we are not left in the dark.
I notice a lot of the Win7 user's posts are left unanswered.

Don't get me wrong I know you just don't come up with a solution like poof right away.
But atleast let us know what's going on and if you are going to let us patch manually or we have to wait it out.

We're aware of the transient permissions errors that users are receiving while attempting to patch. This is something that we're actively looking into, and will deploy a fix as soon as one is available. Thanks for your patience.

This does not work, the launcher is still v1.04

So how do we get this **** to work?

Please give us a link where we can download the patch, without using the crappy launcher ****
